Alcalà Living Apartments

The flat was perfect! Spacious both on the ground floor with kitchen and bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs. From the window it was incredible view on Etna and Basilica. In the building on the ground floor there was a lovely pariom with tables and hammock. The location was perfect- 3min to the bus station from which you are in max 10min in the train station. 5min of walking distance to the historical area, it really couldn’t be better. Salvo was very helpful. We had an incident if stolen scooter and he helped us to prevent it with the 2nd scooter. Honestly I’d love to be back there. Bathroom is in old style compare to the rest of the flat but it didn’t bother us much. The building itself is of course historical so it makes sense. Catania is a great base for exploring this side of Sicily. Highly recommend. You can see the view from the window and patio in the attached photos.

Location was Superb , 5 mins walk to main piazza, view of the duomo and Etna from window , lovely courtyard, fish market , cafes and restaurants, best arancini in the close vicinity.50 meters to bus station , from where lots off buses leave interbus and local , beach can be reached within 10-15 minutes. Salvatore is very good host , communication was excellent, he recommended the best places for food gave us detailed instructions and information about tours , food and activities, best deal for the money . I’m forever grateful.don’t hesitate, book this place

The location was excellent to be close to the fish market & city center. It’s also convenient to access the bus station and nearby public parking lot.

This apartment is on the third floor. There are 77 steps to the flat and the bedroom & bathroom are up more stairs. There is no elevator. It’s an attic unit, so there is a lot of heat being under the roof. The A/C was a single room unit to cool the whole apartment. It was not sufficient for the apartment size. Since the bedroom is a loft, there was no door to close it. You have to manually drain a bucket with the condensed water from the unit. The bathroom was old & outdated. The water heater did not work properly. There was no shower with consistent temperature. The included toiletries are hand soap and body wash only. The apartment is not sound proof. There was a lot of noise from neighbors and from the construction on the floor below. The pictures made it look like the room had a desk, but there was none.
