Palazzu Stidda Catania

Absolutely loved the traditional apartment decorated creatively with lovely shabby-chic pieces. Two delightful little balconies. Great location for the historic centre, restaurants and bars.

Noise. All fine during the day, and we enjoyed sitting on our little balcony with life going on below us. However, the music and general hubbub late at night increased significantly and did not diminish until 2am, and this was too intrusive for us. I appreciate it is a way of life, and that many people may be fine with it - a warning, not a criticism!

Well, Catania was a surprise and we were so glad we chose to stay a few days here. The Palaazzu Stidda Catania was just what we were looking for a beautiful little Sicilian B&B. We absolutely loved the location and the streets below came alive at night with lively music happy hour plenty of places to eat. Once we were in our apartment and the balcony doors were closed it was peaceful to sleep. This apartment had everything we needed the lovely older couple that were cleaning and caretaking were extremely friendly & helpful. Great communication with the host. If you’re looking for a traditional Sicilian vibes in your accommodation this is a place for you. Our hot tip is happy hour and bruschetta downstairs at Vularie the best Hugo spritz ….in Sicily

The house is beautiful and well decorated with all the old fashioned items on display. Location was good, next to the city center and close to all the main points

- The owner gave us wrong information about the ZTL (traffic limited zone) which will probably result in a fine - The bed was on an elevated loft-style platform, and it was very uncomfortable to climb up to. In addition, the ladder used to access it was quite dangerous, as it had no handrail. - Wifi did not work a lot of the time - There was a bad drain smell in the bathroom. - There was no regular table, only a bar-style counter with high stools. - The room was located above a bar which had loud music until 01:00 and was quite noisy
