it took an hour to get the room key.

This is a room renovated from an old apartment building. The room interior is new, but don't expect too much from the common areas outside. To use the washing machine, you have to go to another small room, and it's not very convenient. We also encountered a power outage with the lights in the morning, and service wasn't available until after 9 AM. Upon arrival, it took an hour to get the room key. The host's provided method didn't work, so they sent someone who forcibly broke the key box to retrieve it. The whole process was very unpleasant—we even considered giving up and not staying, but it seemed there was no refund possible.

A pleasant and very convenient base for exploring Milan and beyond.

We had a very nice stay at this comfortable apartment. The location is excellent for catching trains for day trips outside of Milan, which made our travel plans much easier. Everything with the check-in and building systems worked perfectly, and we really appreciated the host staying in touch to make sure we had everything we needed.

The apartment is already a great base, and a few small updates to the amenities would make it even more of a standout.

Lovely central apartment

Very nice apartment, beautiful decorated and has all it is needed. Hosts are very nice, Jerome was very attentive and in touch regularly to see if I needed any help. It has been a wonderful stay and will always try to come back here when I am in Milan. Location is also very good, plenty of lovely and lively restaurants nearby

Perfect stay in a great Milan neighbourhood

Excellent apartment — spotless, modern, and extremely comfortable. Everything is very well thought out and perfectly clean, making the stay easy and relaxing from the first moment. The apartment is fully equipped and feels more like a home than a short-term rental. The neighbourhood is outstanding: safe, lively, and full of great restaurants, cafés, and bars. The location is ideal — close to the train station, with excellent connections to the center of Milan, so getting around is effortless. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return. Highly recommended.

Comfortable convenient & I would stay there again.

Location. Separate bedroom. Washing machine. Hair dryer, Lift to room. It was clean tidy & had a lot of communication from the host to assist in any way. Bathroom clean & tidy (see comment about shower head below)

Minor things really, Pillows were a tad hard, shower head looks like it needs rescaling from calcium build up as it sprays everywhere. Otherwise bathroom was great.

Amazing place and great Host

The apartment is big, clean, and has all the needed appliances. The location is wonderful - easy accessible for all the possible activities and tours. The Host Daniele was very helpful, focused on our comfort and had a great communication with us during the entire stay. I really liked the quality of the coffee in the apartment. 😀 Strongly recomend to book with Milan Retreats!

It was great to have the space of this apartment during our travels.

One bathroom was very tiny, the other spacious but not practical. Water went everywhere when showering. Was looking forward to a bath but the plus was too small.

Good but Disappointed that Apartment Assigned was not the One Booked

Host Jerome was very helpful and super responsive before and during our stay here in Milan. Apartment was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We felt safe staying there.

We were assigned another apartment within the same building & same address (the one with green toilets), hence the 8 instead of 9 rating. During the booking process, I had looked through all the different apartments available under the Milan Retreats umbrella and made my selection accordingly to my liking. As such, I was sorely disappointed despite the host, Jerome's assurance that the assigned apartment is the nicest in this building. It would have been great if we had been given a headsup or the option to switch.

Great location, lots of space for a family with two teenagers. Clean and convenient apartment. Will definitely stay again next time we are in Milan!

Great for family or small group

Close to Milan central station with lots of space. Two bedrooms one with queen and one with 2 twin beds. Large bathroom, kitchen and sitting/dining room so there is plenty of space. Everything you need for a long stay was available but, since we only spent two nights we did not do any cooking. Plenty of restaurants around the area. Downtown Milan is 4 or 5 stops on the metro which is a block away from the apartment. Good location for anyone traveling around Italy by train and needs something close to the station.

Nothing - a minor thing, add some towel racks/hooks in the bathroom as there are none so towels were left hanging over doors to dry.

Excellent

It was close to Milan central station and near public transport. The apartment was very clean and had modern fittings with cafe downstairs. The host was so helpful with tips before and during our stay. They even helped organize a birthday cake, champagne and decoration of the room as it was my wife’s birthday. Will definitely come back

I really love this apartment.

The hotel has air conditioning. The WhatsApp service is really good, and the stay was very comfortable.

One day before check-in, I paid the accommodation tax online via WhatsApp. It’s about a 15–20 minute walk from the central station, but carrying luggage makes it feel quite far — taking transport is more convenient.

Excellent and well set up apartment, close to everything.

Milan Retreats was an excellent stay, with the Lima Metro station at the end of the street it was easy to access the city, wherever you wanted to go. The property was very clean and well set up with everything we needed. The owners communicated with us very well before, during and after our stay and even answered our call after hours when we had a slight issue with getting in on arrival. Would highly recommend this property.

The only downside is that there is no dryer at the property for drying clothes during our short stay.

Fantastic, will book again

Everything was perfect! The property was close to the train station and a metro stop. It looked just like the pictures, was extremely clean, had all the necessary facilities and we were also provided coffee pods, tea bags, toiletries. Our host Jerome was very friendly, checked up on us every morning and was very accommodating during our stay.

Good fit for families

It is a good fit for families, location is central if you are going to use the train from Milan Centrale station. It is comfortable and reasonably spacious. You will feel like home. There is a paid parking right opposite to the building if you have or rent a car. The train station area has got lots of car rental companies.

Great stay!

It was clean, all you need in an apartment is there. Lots of restaurants and grocery in the area. milan Retreats was very helpful.

Only downside was it was a bit far from the train station. We had to take a cab to go there.

Great hosts and facilities- bit far

Milan retreats have lots of apartments- this review is for the one on Via Rodolfo Farnetti 3- check the apartment you you book on their website. I loved the facilities, the terrace, they have toiletries, iron, ironing board, hangers and wardrobes. Washing machine and drying rack. Easy to follow entry instructions and WhatsApp service till 6pm daily.

Location- we are able bodied but in the heat- a good 15 minute walk to Milan Centrale

Excellent Apartment, Excellent service.

Milan Retreats is a gem of a place. Located only a short stroll from the Central Station where you can get either a train to many destinations like Venice/Rome/Naples/etc or access the Metro under the station that gets you anywhere in Milan. The apartment is very spacious with everything you need, from towels, bed linen, hairdryer, toothbrushes and paste, shampoo and conditioner, even slippers. A fully contained kitchen to include fridge, microwave and dishwasher and also a washing machine. Air-conditioning in the rooms was perfect. A very quiet location. Easy access to a number of convenience stores. We felt very safe in the area. And most of all a very professional and friendly host. If you need anything, a WhatsApp message was answered very promptly. Highly recommended from a family of four.

The video of instructions was helpful. Clean apartment. Helpful re our booking in, from a train. We simply sent images of the passports and didn’t have to fill in documents as we did for other places.

I had trouble reaching some of the items in the high cupboards in the kitchen. Cups, glasses and plates should be easy for anyone to grab, we think. It was a short visit. We stayed only one night. Longer would have been better.

The apartment is in a lovely area — peaceful and beautiful. The space inside is bright and roomy, which made my stay very comfortable. What truly stood out were the warm and welcoming hosts. I really enjoyed living here and would definitely recommend it.

It was a most pleasant stay.

The apartment was no more than 10min away from the train station by foot. It's quite large and came with everything we needed. The staff reached out via WhatsApp a day in advance about check-in and key collection. They were friendly and courteous, and very responsive to messages. They even took the time to check in with us every day to ask if we needed any assistance, which was highly appreciated.

There really wasn't anything anything that we didn't like about this place. They have several locations in the area. So my only suggestion is be sure to check which street your apartment is on (Google Maps helps) before booking.

in general everything is good) some little things that can be improved: salt, pepper, oil in the kitchen, hooks for clothes and towels. a baby cot was brought upon request, but it is impossible for a child to sleep in it) it is not a cot, but a playpen for games)
