Blackpool Lodge

I see a number of references to the owners Andy and Jan but I suspect they no longer own the B&B. There is no contact with any staff, collecting the keys from a lock box near the front door and dropping them off in the same box upon departure. Breakfast was available but, again, the man cooking the breakfasts did not look like the picture of Andy. The breakfast itself was what it was. You got a basic cooked breakfast and there was some orange juice. You need to ask for the kettle to be filled to make yourself some tea, there was a small pile of sliced bread to make toast and a tub of butter spread. No jams or anything of that type. No greeting or smile from the breakfast maker, a very strange atmosphere. The room itself was fine, clean and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was very cramped but was fine for the one night. From reviews you are expecting a warm welcome from the hosts. Sadly not!

Excellent location, clean rooms, great value for money

Stinky toilet because of old sewer I think.

Location good , easy access, very comfortable room, beds and linen very good quality , everything you need

Sink not in the bathroom but in the bedroom was strange we were on the very top floor too many stairs
