The best family we ever met! We felt like we were at home. We love them so much, so kind!! We add 5 more days at this place, we decided to stay there until the end of our trip just because of how perfect the stay was!!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Pineapple pancakes were great. Like that there were two pool options. Room was really nice. Great sun beds. Nice that it was quieter.

Shower was great but it was tricky not to flood the floor.

**A warm, family-run haven in Ubud — I’d come back in a heartbeat** People make a business successful, and Ubad Retreat proves it. This locally owned, family-run hotel treats every guest with genuine care, friendly greetings, and great value. My Superior Room was spacious, with a large sleeping area, a separate vanity room, and a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. The property has two pools that stay open late, perfect after a day out. The on-site restaurant is delicious and budget-friendly — I often ate in the city center, but honestly looked forward to coming “home” for a smile at check-in, quick room service, or chatting with other travelers in the dining area. Their happy hour is a nice touch, too. I’ve visited 29 countries, and Bali — my most recent — is one I’d happily return to, especially to stay here again. The team also arranged reliable, fast transport to the city center, and the front desk was a fantastic resource for day spas, deep-tissue massage, and thoughtful activity recommendations around Ubud. **Highlights** * Truly caring, family-run hospitality * Spacious Superior Room with separate vanity + shower & bathtub * Two pools open late * Tasty, affordable restaurant with happy hour * Quick room service and welcoming common areas * Easy, reliable transfers to the city center * Front desk gives excellent spa and activity tips **Would I return?** Absolutely. I had no problem with the property. It is about 15 minutes from out of town but they can get a taxi and the driver's they call are friendly and knowledgeable. There was nothing to not like. Family owned.

The room and pool facilities were good

Food, served as breakfast was not up to the mark. The quality of the food wasn't great either.

Everything was amazing. Great facilities and the staff were so friendly. It felt like a huge family and the surrounding village is incredible.

Really nice rooms and area

Ubad Retreat feels like home away home, it is very peaceful and beautiful place to be - It is lovely. Beds are so comfortable, rooms are gorgeous. Restaurant and food is really nice. Sri was helping us everyday, as a great stuff, thanks to Sri.

Staffs in this hotel are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good, hotel Facility is ok and the environment very peaceful. The location is good near to bali zoo, ATV provider, there is pepito super market near hotel location however you need motorbike or bicycle to reach it.

Very nice place. The people are lovely, I would definitely go back just for the ladies that work there. Nice pool, rooms are very clean. Situated in a nice area not far from the central, but far enough that it's busy.

It's not necessarily something I didn't like, but I think it's important to note. This place is situated within a village, and they have their own taxi services that operate there, so when you arrive, just keep in mind that using those taxis instead of grab is highly recommended as they give back to the community. They will always assist you with getting transfers if you aren't comfortable.

Staff were super sweet. Location was right next door to a retreat at Lumina. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.

Little bit far from the Ubud

Very nice guet House a few minutes ride away from downtown Ubud. The place is nice, quiet, relaxing. Bar and restaurant on site, very good local and international food. Gus and his familiy are amazing people that will do what they can to help or make you feel good. Could be better: breakfast. Overall highly recommended

Bad breakfast only 2 eggs and 4 pieces bread Room’s door can’t close. Two sides are open and roof is open too. So inside the room is like zoo ( spiders, ant, lizzards, frog) and outside monkeys :) Dirty rooms I paid 6 nights but I can stay just 2 nights.

Very good location for relaxing. Nearby there is beautiful forest and a temple which is perfect for meditation. Room was very clean. I loved the shower which gave me the feeling of taking the bath in a waterfall! Food in the restaurant were so delicious. Staff were very nice

The calm environment in a small village and the plantation around the rooms.

Stayed here for a week, loved everything about it. The family who run it are so lovely, and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The two pools and the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are really nice. Breakfast is great, and the meals served at other times in the restaurant are also pretty good.

Only downside is the traffic getting into the centre of Ubud is often pretty bad, but the free shuttle car from the hotel 4 times per day is convenient and it was worth it for us to be in the beautiful surroundings at Ubad Retreat at the end of each day rather than in the centre of Ubud which can be a bit overwhelming.

The place is very beautiful and cozy. I really enjoyed the terrace of our room! Stuff was very friendly and helped with everything we needed. Would stay again :) Felt like home
