A very well-equipped cottage with a lovely little garden. Nice and warm. Comfortable. Peaceful. Everything worked properly! Helpful and friendly hosts live not far away.
Handy general stores less than 2 mins walk.. Great walking area.

The cottage was in a very quiet peaceful location, well decorated, shower was good, sofas and beds comfy. For two people it was everything we needed. It was nice to be able to sit in the little garden too. Easy to walk to the sea and nice walks around the area. Little shop had most things you might want.
Parking was tricky, but to be expected in a little village .

Nice owner, met us and gave us good tips. The apartment is great, you can walk to the beach and hiking trails from there. It was excellent

The cottage is ideally situated in the heart of this traditional quarry workers’ village and very comfortable. You can enter the property from the back, via an outdoor space leading to the kitchen or from the front, where there is a delightful garden that lets onto a babbling brook. (Very soothing to fall asleep to at night)
The kitchen is well equipped and there is a very good shower in the bathroom. The bedrooms are attractively furnished with pretty Roman blinds and, most importantly, the beds are very comfortable.
Despite being a small cottage, it has plenty to offer. There is a dining table and a cosy sitting area with two sumptuous two seater sofas. We didn’t need to use the wood burner as we had such exceptionally good weather!
No problems.

The accommodation was very comfortable with everything required for our stay. The location was perfect for coastal and hillside walks with wild flowers and fauna. The Ancient Iron Age Hillfort and quarries were of special interest.
Couldn’t find fault.

Beautiful well equipped cottage in a stunning location. The stream running along the bottom of the garden is just beautiful to listen to early morning or in bed at night. I don't think it mentions on the listing there's an iron and board, but there is. Wonderful locals, including the next door neighbour who met us on the lane as we were leaving to give my daughter some chocolate. Easy to reach the beach on foot, turn right out of the back door, to the bottom, turn left and walk until you get to the coach yard just down the street, turn right and follow the path to the pebble beach. If you want sandy just follow the coast just up round the corner to the right. Crabbing gear and some buckets and spades are provided at the cottage, as are several games for the children for when indoors.
My little girl loved it here, she was quite sad about leaving but I've promised her we will be back
This is just to provide information for those that this is really important to due to mobility/health issues - Double bed mattress very soft, singles are firmer. The bedroom mirror is set atop drawers and not wall hung so you do have to bend to dry hair etc.
Would love to see an outdoor patio set on my next visit so I can sit outside with a coffee early morning to take in the tranquility and sound of the birds and stream, my bones are a bit too stiff to get up off the doorstep that early in the day 😂

The helpfulness of the property owner was much appreciated. After I'd met a flight at Manchester Airport, the journey to Trefor was complicated by closure of the M56 (and some less than helpful diversion signs) then closure of the A55 (upside-down HGV). The property owner kept in touch by text and nonetheless met us, late at night, at the village crossroads to show us to the property and hand over keys.
The property has a wealth of OS maps of various scales and much useful information about local amenities and places to eat.
The stream to the front of the house (the two sides of the 'street' face each other across front paths, gardens and the stream, not a road) was music to fall to sleep by.
Although there's no dedicated parking spot, we never had a problem parking near the property (on-street or in a small car park opposite) even if a bit of reversing up-hill was required.
The shore area is convenient, the views terrific, and things are well-signposted.
Access to the main road is simple and there are so many local places to visit and enjoy (Llanberis Slate Mine Museum was a favourite) that you're spoiled for choice.
If you like coffee, bring your own French press. If you're very wide or have bad legs, the staircase could be an adventure - it's steeper than those in newer houses (although it didn't bother us).

The hosts were increadibly friendly, helpful and flexible, with excellent communication. Lovely people. The village is friendly and not at all touristy, yet within a stones throw of amazing beaches, mountains and the attractions of North Wales. Great location.
Street parking was hard to find one evening without a fairly long walk.

All the communication with Brian and Jane was very helpful and very friendly. The cottage was warm, cosy and comfortable. The village was interesting and everyone we passed was friendly. Our walks to the beach in moonlight and starlight were lovely. We enjoyed nearby Pwllheli and Abersoch and their coastal paths. We hope to return.

This is a lovely cottage that we instantly felt comfortable and at home in. It is warm, comfortable, nicely furnished and well equipped. On arrival we was greeted by the owner who was friendly and welcoming. The village has a 7-11 store minutes away and a post office just around the corner. The local beach is very close by and worth a visit. We used the cottage as a base and explored the Llyn Peninsula extensively including a visit to Bardsey Island which we highly recommend. Be assured this is an area of outstanding natural beauty and you won't be disappointed. Also at the end of the day you come home to a lovely cottage that is very peaceful and relaxing.
The bathroom/toilet are downstairs but to be honest this was a minor problem for us but understandably could be an issue for some.

exceptional communication with owner and clear instructions re covid-19 safety made it feel clean and well cared for
tiny little village but had a shop and the beach was lovely
great location to start walks from or use as
a base for the peninsular and snowdonia
minor - would have been amazing to have a king size bed rather than a double

The cottage was spotlessly clean which is unusual these days! We have stayed at many places this year and this was definitely the cleanest, an absolute credit to the owners. I would say the only tiny issue was the bathroom/toilet being downstairs as we'd taken my Dad who is a little unsteady on his feet and was worried about him getting up in the night, it is only a teeny issue and I'm sure it's understandable with the age of the cottage, I guess back in the day to have a bathroom was a luxury! The property has an extension to the rear where the bathroom and kitchen are, I imagine these quaint little cottages were the typical 2 up 2 down. The bedroom was lovely, the beds were extremely comfortable and we loved the high quality Dorma bedding, very posh 😊 I have attached a photo of the view from the bedroom window, there is a little garden and a fast flowing beck to the front of the property which is lovely falling asleep to! I can highly recommend this cottage and the owners are always just a phone call away and meet you on arrival for that nice personal touch. Thank you so much for the use of your cottage it's beautiful. Great location for visiting the Ffestiniog steam railway and Portmeirion

A peaceful place to stay in a great location for exploring the Llyn Peninsula. Hosts very kind and cottage well equipped. Appreciated the stove and smart tv when the weather was stormy.

All facilities were great.Lovely area and friendly neighbours.
Nothing to dislike.A bathroom upstairs would be helpful or even an ensuite toilet in the double room could be fitted. As an older couple the only issue really was having to go downstairs to the bathroom

A very peaceful village within walking distance to coastal path and a lovely quiet picturesque beach. We took evening picnics down most evenings as the weather was glorious
Fabulous communication from the hosts
Great location for visiting surrounding areas

The bathroom is downstairs which we didn’t mind but it might be a problem for other people

The location is ideally located. The cottage itself was so comfortable, warm and clean and had added perks like games and books suitable for all ages. The stream running in the front was wonderful, a lovely surprise for us adults and our young children. We met with Brian, our host, who gave us a warm welcome and the community are friendly too!

A nice quiet break, good location to go out sight seeing. A well appointed cottage.
A bit far out for our liking for pubs and restaurants of an evening. Due to Covid restrictions a lot of restaurants were closed, this is nothing to do with our hosts but something we hadn't considered.
