The housekeeper was really lovely and honest

The bed is very uncomfortable and the walls are very thin. You can hear absolutely every single move, breath and turn in the bed from next door rooms.

As above + the TV was not tuned and watchable. There was no internet reception in our room on the top floor. The owner was not attending our needs but saying that we are making it all up

Some issues to sort for a good stay

The location was super quiet - you could hear a pin drop. The room was large and clean. Honestly, if they could sort out the below issues, it would make it all a very good place to stay.

There was no-one to receive me despite having sent approximate arrival time. I tried calling and messaging but no answer. I was panicked as it was clear there were no alternative options with it being low season. I took a walk and came back an hour later. Luckily someone was picking something up at the hotel and I was finally able to make contact with the owner - all rather weird. There are no kettle or tea-making facilities in the room which again was really tricky as nothing is open in the village either after 6pm due to low season - so the hotel should make some arrangements for guests to at least be able to make a drink. The bed had two single sheets and thin blankets on a double bed, none of which could be tucked in so this resulted in constant waking for rearranging. The breakfast was basic but ok. Only one single knife provided. I specifically booked because it had a pool which on booking.com said it would be open - but in fact it was empty! In the end, the weather was not for swimming, but the situation is not acceptable - at least update information for guests.

Lovely air conditioned accommodation with sea views and the best sunsets. Added bonus of a pool. Perfectly located between the port town and the best beach Sunj. Will definitely need to return

A lovely relaxing holiday in an idyllic location

The room was very spacious and looked like the pictures on booking.com. We had a nice sea view from the window, although not directly overlooking the sea (it is a 10-minute walk from the harbour up a narrow road to get to the property). The pool was small but very good for cooling off and relaxing under an umbrella on a hot day. The host (and family) was very friendly and chatty :-). The rooms were cleaned every day. The host arranged for taxi pick-up at the airport, transfer to the small harbour opposite the island, and speedboat transfer to the island. It was pricey but worth the experience! (we took the normal ferry to Dubrovnik port and from there the airport bus back to the airport for a fraction of the price).

We were aware that we needed to pay cash on arrival but it would be safer for visitors to be able to pay by card. The room safe didn't work, and although the island is small and safe, we didn't feel entirely comfortable leaving cards and money just in the room. There was nowhere to hang towels and clothes on the balcony to dry. A welcome bottle of water would have been nice after the fairly lengthy walk uphill to the property on arrival. There was no kettle in the room which would be normal for 4-star accommodation.

Skip Lopud and go to Sudurad. The Hotel Bozica more than made up for the discomfort on Lopud.

The pool and the price. The person who greeted me (Mary) was quite nice and inviting.

I did not see in my booking that they accept cash only for payment of the room. The elder gentleman was quite insistent about being paid in cash on the first morning of a two day stay. I offered to pay for the night that I had just stayed (had that amount of cash on me) and move on. He made it clear that I owed him for two nights. Made things a bit uncomfortable. I went to the ATM at the western waterfront and met his demand.

Great location. Owner was very welcoming and helpful with any questions, arranging transfers etc. Room was a nice size with aircon and a fridge for drinks. We felt completely relaxed while we were there. Also a great base to explore the island as well as to take ferry trips to visit other islands.

There wasn't really anything to dislike. Perhaps that we were usually down for breakfast at the later end of 8-10am time and hot items were mostly gone before we arrived. I'm sure the owner would have made more if we'd asked. Also perhaps fruit at breakfast.

We loved the location..away from the harbour and nicely placed for getting to Sunji Beach.The hotel was spotless and Niki was an excellent host.We were the only ones at the White House as the season was right as it’s very end.Breakfast was good ..

petit déjeuner assez complet mais avec des produits d'entrée de gamme conforme à un hôtel 1 étoile en France, très inférieurs aux standards français d'un 2 ou 3 étoiles, par exemple pas de jus d'orange 100% fruit mais une boisson à base de poudre saveur orange, pain de mie industriel à la place de vrais pains de boulangerie, pas de fruits frais (au pays des figues et de la vigne !), pas d'expresso mais un café type américano ou café allemand certes convenable.

Gastgeber sehr hilfsbereit. Hatte für uns vom Flughafen einen privaten Transfer mit Taxi und Boot organisiert, nachdem wir festgestellt hatten, dass die Fähre zur Insel erst in den Abendstunden die Insel anfahren sollte. Unterkunft und Bewirtung waren sehr ansprechend.

Une île paradisiaque loin du tumulte de Dubrovnik

petit déjeuner pour tous les goûts, varié. le propriétaire est très accessible et prêt à rendre service. la piscine est un plus surtout en cette période chaude. la station de taxi est située à 30m pour se rendre à la plus belle plage de l'île (Beach Sunj) pour 6 euros par personne aller retour. les restaurants et autres libre service sont situés sur le port à environ 200m. L'établissement est très bien entretenu, drap changé journellement !
