We loved the vintage charm of Le Bacchu Ber! George has done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences.The home was cozy and clean, location is close to hiking trails, breakfasts were very tasty, George was available to answer all our questions,suggested a few great hikes, he really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend the place!

Warm and cozy hospitality

Everything was simply perfect. The hosts are the kindest people you would meet and who would go above and beyond to provide a magical mountain experience to their guests. The breakfast spread was excellent and George was way too generous with packing the leftovers to power you through the mountain hikes. Also, he had the perfect suggestions for outings and hikes based on the requirements of our family. Thank you Maria and George. We would love to be able to stay at your wonderful home again if we ever travel to Briancon or Serre Chevalier region.

Loved the place, very quirky. Fantastic hosts with breakfast included featuring tasty homemade jam. Room large, comfortable and lovely bathroom and separate toilet space. Would recommend and would stay again.

The only negative was the struggle to find the place. Our mobile data signal failed us so we had no sat nav. We had to ask a woman in a garden for directions and luckily for us she was an English teacher and we followed her car to the address! Whatever you do remember to take detailed directions!

- Breakfast exceptional continental style. The host lays out the breakfast items for arrival in the morning and is there to make sure you have what you want. Quality as well as quantity. - Room was large and had everything you would want in any hotel room - For a 'bed and breakfast' style accommodation, this is as good as it can get

- Obviously it is a little out of town. I walked back and forth and it takes about 15 mins. Otherwise, you need a car. - WiFi is a bit hit and miss. It is fine for general web usage but streaming and more heavy use is a bit tricky

The hosts are warm and helpful. The rooms are comfy and breakfast is both excellent and a fun time to chat with the hosts and get some tips for the day ahead (plenty of hikes and restaurants nearby). In the summer, the thick walls of the old renovated house keep your room cool (it was about 33°C outside when we were there, but inside was likely close to 20°C). The private parking lot is convenient (and free). We hiked in the Ecrins, starting from Névache: highly recommend, ask the host for details. Also: the rooms are much better then they may appear on the pictures.

Awesome place with great breakfast and host!!

Great facility - very clean and had great breakfast. The best part was George the host who was very helpful to us in guiding us to some great hiking trails. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

The only thing that was an issue was a somewhat weak WIFI but George reset to help make it stronger. Other than that the place is superb.

Perfect stay, Welcoming hosts, great rooms, tres bon experience.

Georges and Maria are so welcoming, they really make you feel like part of the family. The breakfast are superb, nothing is too much effort. They offer help for skiing advice on where to go, restaurants to eat, places to visit. They are genuinely very nice people. Also the sweet treats provided at breakfast set you up for the day! You really couldn't ask for a better place to stay or people to be hosted by.

I absolutely loved the friendliness of the hosts and very warm and welcoming feeling of Bacchu Ber, especially because I was traveling alone. Ideal location to arrive by train, my room was tidy and comfy, both breakfast and dinner delicious and the general atmosphere just perfect for peaceful and relaxing holiday with some mountain activities during the days.

Wir hatten unser Zimmer im Dach des sehr aufwändig und hochwertig renovierten alten Hauses. Es war sehr groß und stilvoll eingerichtet. Das Bad war ebenso stilvoll mit einer großen Dusche. Alles war sehr sauber. Frühstück gab es für alle Gäste in der Küche des Hauses, es gab eine große Auswahl an Marmelade und Honig, Baguette und Joghurt. Kaffee, Tee, Eier in jeder Form mit Speck wurden von George frisch serviert (incl. Ausflug Tipps). Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Lage war für uns perfekt.

Hier hat einfach alles gestimmt!

Dies ist ein der besten Unterkünfte gewesen, wo ich jemals war. Es hat einfach alles gepasst! Bei meiner Ankunft hat der Besitzer bereits auf mich gewartet. Es gibt einen kleinen Parkplatz direkt neben dem Garten. WICHTIG: Unbedingt die Wegbeschreibung zur Kenntnis nehmen, die man nach der Buchung geschickt bekommt. Ansonsten fährt man, je nach Auto, in die Falle! Die Straße in der das Haus ligt ist wirklich extrem eng und nur für kleinere Fahrzeuge befahrbar. Der Parkplatz hingegen liegt quasi auf der Rückseite und kann mit jedem Fahrzeug ereicht werden. Das Zimmer ist urgemütlich und hatte eine grandiose Aussicht auf die umliegenden Berge. Alls ist sehr harmonisch eingerrichtet und sauber und ordentlich. Es gibt sogar eine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer. Das Badezimmer war sehr groß und mit einer ebenerdigen, großen Dusche ausgestattet. Das Frühstück ist zum niderknien. Alles ist frisch und man kriegt Rührei, Spiegelei, Speck..... auf Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Die Gastgeber sind wirklich extrem nett und gastfreundlich und auch für einen Plausch gerne zu haben. Es gibt einen großen Hund und mehrere Katzen, aber die bereiten einem keine Sorgen.

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt

Wir wurden sehr freundlich von unseren Gastgebern Marie und Georg aufgenommen. Das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen waren hervorragend. Die Zimmer sind trotz der alten Gebäudehülle sehr modern und komfortabel eingerichtet.

Perfekt!!!!!

Wir waren mit dem Motorrad zu zweit unterwegs und haben 4 Übernachtungen gebucht um jeweils täglich interessante Alpentouren zu machen. Die Gastgeber Georges und Maria sind einfach Klasse!!! Immer hilfsbereit, sie geben Infos weiter und das Frühstück ist unübertroffen und jeden Tag mit sehr viel Sorgfalt und Qualität zubereitet. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren top und wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl gefühlt. Ergänzend ist der wunderschöne Garten mit Gartenhaus zu erwähnen, in dem wir nach unseren Touren immer ein frisch gezapftes Bier erhalten haben. Die Parkmöglichkeit für die Motos direkt am Garten waren perfekt.

Die perfekte Unterkunft

Eine bezaubernder Ort, außerhalb vom Trubel. Zu Fuß, in 10 min zum Bahnhof und 15 min in die Stadt. Das Zimmer ist hell, freundlich und mit einem separaten Eingang erreichbar. Das Bett war prima, wir haben auswärts selten so gut geschlafen! Zum Frühstück war der Tisch üppig gedeckt - es gab alles, von Marmelade, Wurst, Käse, Eier nach Wunsch, Cafe oder Tee usw. Ausflugstipps samt Tourenbuch zum ausleihen, wir hatten eine Tolle Zeit.

ancienne bâtisse restaurée avec beaucoup de charme et de goût très atypique sur les hauteurs de Briançon avec vue sur montagnes et la citadelle Vauban. Coin très calme à 15 minutes à pied du centre ville. Nous avons rencontré 2 hôtes Maria et Georges exceptionnels très à l'écoute et très bons conseilleurs pour visiter la région et se restaurer. Un grand merci à Georges pour la préparations des petits déjeuners qui sont très copieux et très variés. Notre chambre très propre spacieuse et agréable merci à Maria pour les petites attentions dans la chambre. un endroit qui mérite d'être connu principalement pour la sympathie la gentillesse et la disponibilité de Maria et Georges un grand merci à vous deux d'avoir rendu notre séjour aussi agréable. Avis aux amateurs de vélo il y a de nombreux cols magnifiques à faire

Séjour exceptionnel à tous égards!

L'accueil et l'hospitalité de la famille de Maria et Georges sont exceptionnels et il nous a manqué de rien - conseils très utiles pour la route, possibilité de stationner les vélos au garage sécurisé, chambre très belle, grande et comfortable dans une maison historique rénovée avec finesse. Petit déjeuner très copieux, savoureux (sucré et salé), préparé selon l'envie du client et aussi à une heure très tôt si nécessaire. Nous avons également pu faire laver nos vêtements, ce qui était très agréable sur notre voyage le long de la Route des Grandes Alpes.

Le Wifi ne fonctionnait quasiment pas et le réseau mobile était peu accessible depuis notre chambre.

Zeer goed ontbijt, erg persoonlijk contact met gastheer. gastheer stond steeds klaar om info te geven en om ons wegwijs te maken in de omgeving en streek.

Gasten moeten van dieren houden: hond en katten zijn prominent aanwezig. Voor ons geen probleem maar mogelijk wel voor andere bezoekers :)
