Beautiful location in a historical neighborhood. The jacuzzi was fantastic. Very cozy in December. Outstanding breakfast with homemade marmalades. Special mention to the beautiful dog.

We loved the vintage charm of Le Bacchu Ber! George has done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences.The home was cozy and clean, location is close to hiking trails, breakfasts were very tasty, George was available to answer all our questions,suggested a few great hikes, he really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend the place!

Warm and cozy hospitality

Everything was simply perfect. The hosts are the kindest people you would meet and who would go above and beyond to provide a magical mountain experience to their guests. The breakfast spread was excellent and George was way too generous with packing the leftovers to power you through the mountain hikes. Also, he had the perfect suggestions for outings and hikes based on the requirements of our family. Thank you Maria and George. We would love to be able to stay at your wonderful home again if we ever travel to Briancon or Serre Chevalier region.

Superb

Loved the place, very quirky. Fantastic hosts with breakfast included featuring tasty homemade jam. Room large, comfortable and lovely bathroom and separate toilet space. Would recommend and would stay again.

The only negative was the struggle to find the place. Our mobile data signal failed us so we had no sat nav. We had to ask a woman in a garden for directions and luckily for us she was an English teacher and we followed her car to the address! Whatever you do remember to take detailed directions!

- Breakfast exceptional continental style. The host lays out the breakfast items for arrival in the morning and is there to make sure you have what you want. Quality as well as quantity. - Room was large and had everything you would want in any hotel room - For a 'bed and breakfast' style accommodation, this is as good as it can get

- Obviously it is a little out of town. I walked back and forth and it takes about 15 mins. Otherwise, you need a car. - WiFi is a bit hit and miss. It is fine for general web usage but streaming and more heavy use is a bit tricky

The hosts are warm and helpful. The rooms are comfy and breakfast is both excellent and a fun time to chat with the hosts and get some tips for the day ahead (plenty of hikes and restaurants nearby). In the summer, the thick walls of the old renovated house keep your room cool (it was about 33°C outside when we were there, but inside was likely close to 20°C). The private parking lot is convenient (and free). We hiked in the Ecrins, starting from Névache: highly recommend, ask the host for details. Also: the rooms are much better then they may appear on the pictures.

Maria and George's could not be more helpful or nicer. The room was spotless. Breakfast was whatever you needed. And being local can offer advice on activities, routes etc. A really good comfortable place to stay. So thanks to you both.

very welcoming hosts and nice location in Briançon. The breakfast was delicious. Possibility to sit outside in the garden is very nice. The room was spacious and clean.

Awesome place with great breakfast and host!!

Great facility - very clean and had great breakfast. The best part was George the host who was very helpful to us in guiding us to some great hiking trails. Very knowledgeable and friendly.

The only thing that was an issue was a somewhat weak WIFI but George reset to help make it stronger. Other than that the place is superb.

Perfect stay, Welcoming hosts, great rooms, tres bon experience.

Georges and Maria are so welcoming, they really make you feel like part of the family. The breakfast are superb, nothing is too much effort. They offer help for skiing advice on where to go, restaurants to eat, places to visit. They are genuinely very nice people. Also the sweet treats provided at breakfast set you up for the day! You really couldn't ask for a better place to stay or people to be hosted by.

I absolutely loved the friendliness of the hosts and very warm and welcoming feeling of Bacchu Ber, especially because I was traveling alone. Ideal location to arrive by train, my room was tidy and comfy, both breakfast and dinner delicious and the general atmosphere just perfect for peaceful and relaxing holiday with some mountain activities during the days.

Incroyable séjour

L'accueil par Maria et Georges était chaleureux et agréable du début jusqu'à la fin. Le petit-déjeuner fait maison était excellent ! La chambre était propre et avait une magnifique vue sur le Prorel ! L'accès aux pistes de ski est simple sans voiture car la navette partant de la gare est à moins de 10 minutes à pied.
