The room was clean and super warm with modern interiors in the bathroom. Breakfast was really good: vegetarian-friendly with a wide and rich variety of options.

A Cozy and Welcoming Stay

I recently stayed at this charming little 2-star hotel, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The rooms are warm and comfortable, with cozy beds that make you sleep like a baby after a day of exploring. Breakfast is simple but lovely, everything is organic and homemade, and you can enjoy fresh coffee and juice every morning. The hotel is family-run, and the owners make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. They’re always around, friendly, and ready to help with anything you need. One of the best parts for me is that the hotel is pet friendly, which is such a big plus for travelers with animals. The location couldn’t be better, it’s right in the center and close to everything, with a nice restaurant just next door. Overall, it’s a warm, welcoming place with great energy and a personal touch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, simplicity, and a genuine local experience!

Good stopover

Close to railway station, secure storage for bicycles. Older hotel with rooms not updated but everything clean and in good repair. Great restaurant attached.

Good value/price combination, clean and friendly staff.

Good and fresh breakfast. Nice view from the room to the mountains. The private parking for cars and motorcycle was a great advance. The staff was really nice and helpful. We had to leave in midnight and they preapred for us (6 person) a breakfast, drinks.

Great value, great people.

We were super impressed with this property. We needed somewhere close to the train station and booked a double room. When we arrived, we found we had been given one of their renovated suites (they are gradually doing all of them). Great renovation. Lots of plugs, beautiful bathroom, everything very functional, new windows. The bed is really comfortable. Plus we were given a two-room suite and it was very hot so we got a through-breeze from having front and back windows open. And we had room to spread out. The breakfast was great and the staff there were fantastic, lovely people (the owner’s wife and teenagers). Very much a family operation that they haven’t owned very long. We were impressed and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Definitely a low budget affair

Great breakfast

Hotel was in need of refurbishing, felt like a hotel in Russia! Laminate flooring in rooms and corridor meant it wasn’t quiet when people were walking around. The floor didn’t fit the room properly either! Mouldy ceiling above the shower.

Good location but expenisive for what it offers

Breakfast was very poor. The region is renowned for its cheese, jams and honey, yet they offer the most commerical, sugary alternatives on the market. The croissants are not fresh ( in France!!) and there is a sign infront of the apples saying ' you must eat on premise'. So poor and cheap.

The breakfast is poor. Also if it's hot, the room will be very warm and stuffy. I was unable to sleep one night from the heat. There is no airconditioning and no fan.

The parking is excellent. We had a small room with a balcony. The breakfast was surprisingly good. The location was OK. The staff were better than is usual in France

Great place

Great central location and walkable distance to visit the old town. Good choice of food at breakfast, not just a basic continental breakfast. Our room at the back had great views up to the old town and the mountains. Staff very friendly. Briancon town centre had a great vibe and places to eat and drink. Had a lockable garage where we could keep the motorbike overnight.

The ensuite bathroom was very small.

Pleasant hotel past its best but well run

Very close to the station which suited our late arrival. Easy walk to other parts of briancon. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast.

Rooms are somewhat tired - I’d rate one room as well past it’s best. Whilst the other was clean and tidy it was still very old fittings. Eg after flushing the toilet the shower does not get cold water.

Only a short walk from the train/bus station. Reception was very friendly & helpful. We were given a free local bus ticket for the duration of our stay. There is a fabulous Italian run pizza restaurant right next door with a common door, so no need to go out in the cold. There is a lift for access to rooms.

Though not a problem for us, be aware as an older hotel the bathroom is a little 'tight' and a bit awkward to negotiate the toilet.

Superb

The hotel is family owned, and the service was always very friendly. They were also able to offer me many free benefits, such as a room upgrade, and letting me check-in at noon, and check-out at 5pm, since I arrived and left by night train. The hotel is well situated, and has a great view.

My room faced the road, and so there is some road noise, but I did not find this to disrupt my sleep.

Staff was nice and informative about the check in time and self check in. The hotel is also well located with a short walk distance from the centre.

The reception was open very limited hours, we realised that in our room there was no TV remote but since the reception was closed we couldn't get one. So we ended up not being able to make use of the TV at all. When we checked out again there was no one at the reception so we had to leave the key unattended on the front desk.

The room was very dated and the shower was broken. Also no air conditioning and only one socket in the room. On to of that the pillows were extremely uncomfortable so we end up sleeping without.

Basic hostel

The lady running it was lovely and breakfast was good, but that is all I can really say was positive about the stay.

This is definitely more of a hostel and would not recommend it for a couple or a family. It is as basic as you can get, small room with only a small bed in it, nowhere to put anything. The decor is dated and there is no staff there after 6pm. The back door is just left open, there was the smell of weed and smoke in the corridor. Our shower was broken too. It seemed a high price per night for what it was.
