Very nice trip away, was a shame to leave

The location was stunning. The bed was clean, warm and comfortable. Hearing the owl hooting outside the cabin at night was magical.

Peaceful. Beautiful. 4 seasons in one day - loved it so much

A truly immaculate log cabin in one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland. Idyllic is not quite the word. If you want a bit of quiet time then you’ll get it here and the stars pop at night with no light pollution. Inside the cabin, everything is perfect, from the tartan effect carpets, black out curtains and all the mod cons you’d expect for a stay away. WiFi was exceptional and supported 3 people mobile gaming at once - brilliant.

Not that I was looking for faults … but there aren’t any. It is one of the most fantastic places I’ve stayed in and around Dunoon and ive been coming here for 20yrs. This is my new spot to stay.

Anniversary getaway

The lodge was just perfect, it had everything we needed and is in a superb location. It's very quiet and peaceful and the views are amazing. Stephen & Liz went above and beyond to make sure our stay was brilliant. Even with a few wee hiccups they were at the end of the phone straight away to help us. We've stayed at lots of hotels and different accommodation's over the year's but this was our first time in a lodge and it, by far, exceeded our expectations for a few reasons. First one is how incredibly comfortable the bed is. Second is the fact that you honestly don't need to take anything with you except food and drink. And third is that over the year's we've never came across owners who have more exceptional than Stephen and Liz. We couldn't recommend the lodge any more than this and we will 100% be back in the future 👍🏻

Lovely place

Wonderful location, short walk to Benmore Gardens (red squirrels!). Cosy, warm place. Decent shower. Decent beds. Good communication with hosts. Prompt repayment of breakages deposit. Wifi handy but we did also have phone signal.

Could do with duplicate kitchen crockery and cutlery . Bigger bowls would be useful.

Beautiful lodge, relaxing and peaceful.

We have stayed in a lot of lodges but this lodge surpasses all the others. The cosiest lodge, exceptionally clean, well maintained, well equipped, comfortable beds, beautifully decorated. The location was very easy to drive to and the peaceful and quiet surroundings gave my daughter and myself time to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle of working life. Just what we needed. We met Stephen who helped us with setting up Netflix. Very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you Stephen and Liz for creating such a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

Wonderful Escape

Beautiful views, very comfortable lodge and brilliant facilities. Such a mesmerizing and peaceful place amongst nature. We all had a brilliant time making memories and exploring as a family, would definitely return.

Beautiful holiday accommodation

This was the most comfortable, tranquil break. The lodge had all the facilities we needed. We enjoyed sitting outside playing board games, relaxing in front of the tv and cooking lovely meals, surrounded by trees and peace. It was just what we needed.

Absolutely beautiful location - father managed to tick off one of his bucket list items of seeing a red squirrel in his hometown. Clean, good temperature, and comfortable - what more could you want? The lodge is, in one word, *cozy*. My dad is disabled & has MS, and found accessing and getting around the lodge pretty easy. The heating, even for the time of the year, was perfect for him - no matter the time of the day. Never too warm, never too cold. I had a wonderful time - it was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a couple of days away.

Bathroom was a little small, but that’s it! My dad felt the toilet was a little inaccessible - though he’s used to having a raised seat and handle at home, so it’s not exactly something I’d blame on the property. Just a heads up for anyone else who may be looking at this property & is also disabled.

The lodge is in a lovely peaceful setting approximately 10 minutes drive from Dunoon. Very clean and comfortable and also well equipped with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed watching the red squirrels every morning from our bedroom window and just enjoying the peace and quiet after a day exploring.

Lovely little cabin in the woods

A beautiful location, quiet and secluded but a short drive from Dunoon and any services you need. Lying in bed watching red squirrels playing was a first for me. I've been to lots of remote locations around Scotland and this was the most red squirrels I've ever seen in one place.

We had a lovely weekend at Pucks Glen , the scenery was amazing and driving to all the surrounding areas and towns was fabulous, the lodge was ok for what you needed , we would go back but not stay in that location.

Nice little retreat.

The lodge is situated at pretty much the starting point to glen pucks walk. Location was great, although a short drive to the nearest town (10 mins or so) The lodge itself was pretty cosy, and warm, too warm at times which surprised me. Facilities were spot on, sofa very comfortable as were the beds. The place was well dressed and cottage style.

I can't really think of anything if I'm honest. Bathroom door looks to have been replaced very recently, and it was catching on the floor. No big deal, that's all I can think of really, not worth mentioning to be honest. the place was sound and very well presented.

Hard to get on Internet. Internet reset every night at 3am causing constant flashing lights in bedroom as it would not reset. Booking .com would email then owners would text constantly as well. Double l e information and day after got there given info on checking out.....

Excellent stay, but a bathroom door that doesn't close was a REAL issue for us

Very clean and cosy. Well laid out and designed. Nicely decorated. Excellent communication throughout our stay. Great location.

The back bedroom door is split and therefore does not close properly. But worse than that the bathroom door doesn't close either, which lead to a VERY EMBARRASING situation with my female friend when I walked in on her sitting on the toilet. Additionally, the water was never hot enough for a bath (the plug leaks water anyway) and the base on the bath is very VERY flimsy and slippy when having a shower. I almost slipped twice in the shower myself and my friend has trouble with her hips, so she didn't dare use it, so in the 3 nights we stayed there she wasn't able to bath OR shower. This was very disappointing in an otherwise EXCELLENT accommodation, where it is clear that the owners pay a lot of attention to detail, which makes it all-the-more surprising that they missed these 2 or 3 major issues with the property. Perhaps a double shower would suit the property (and it's customers) better, more than an unusable bath that anyone with mobility issues would struggle to get in, but certainly the doors need to be fixed ASAP.

Perfect lodge getaway

- The lodge was cozy, comfortable and in a lovely location. - Two beautiful bedrooms both clean and nice decor. - Great communication with hosts and ideas for activities on a rainy day. - Pucks Glen trail path right on your doorstep.

- We hadn’t packed some of the basics that are usually provided in self catering accommodation ie. Salt, pepper, olive oil, kitchen roll, anti bacterial spray and hand soap in the kitchen. Wouldn’t put us off going back and would just pack that next time.

family-friendly and beautiful

It was much bigger than I anticipated. It was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable. My kids really loved it, and the drive to the town was scenic and not too long. Thank you (and for the free Netflix)!

Cozy cabin next to Pucks Glen forest trail, a lovely spot to relax.

Hosts made the whole process smooth without contact. They even left us a few treats which were much appreciated after a long drive. We enjoyed two nights in the cozy cabin! Would definitely stay here again.
