The single bed was down stairs and large bed upstairs hence couldn’t keep son down alone .

I reviewed Le 36 more than a year ago and noted that for my age group there were risks in having to mount a steep metal spiral staircase to the sleeping quarters and great discomfort in having to descend it in the night, given that the bathroom is downstairs. The shower in the bath is hard to get in to if one's age has stiffened the joints. Surprisingly, and in contrast to the information provided, it was not possible to pay with a card: no machine. By pure luck I had sufficient cash on me.

The location is wonderful, it's on the edge of the city, which looks like a rich village. There's a wonderful park nearby. The house has a garden with a playground, which was loved by my children.

Owner not as friendly or accommodating as expected - Asked for ordinary tea bags - none available ( milk not available until asked for) Rather aggressive demand for immediate payment on arrival evening. Change given following morning, but refusal to do so in note form - leaving for U.K. that day thus coins not wanted. Asked for help with TV - couldn’t help Heating only turned on as we arrived and turned off the following morning as we ate breakfast. Cold in temperature and in atmosphere.

The bedroom was modern and well-designed and the cot was beautiful- the host and her daughters were friendly and polite, and the host had made up the cot bed nicely and seemed comfortable as my 5 month old son slept well in it. The coffee machine worked and had tasty coffee! The gravel path leading up to the accommodation was cute and its nice that there was privacy. Delicious jam in the morning, and the host very kindly provided a bib for my baby without even prompting or asking for a favour.

There were three very small bottles of water for two people, and as I was breastfeeding in particular I need a lot more water so was boiling tap water in the kettle before drinking it. A small cooker or hob would have been very helpful so we could make simple meals. Beyond the host's control but over an hour's worth of traffic for the city of Brussells so be careful what time you arrive there as it could add a whole hour at least to your travel time.

Location in our opinion very good , quiet , 10 minutes walk to the subway which then in 20 minutes to the city center. The owner is very kind and really makes you feel at home , genuine and tasty breakfast! Excellent value for money.

Great for those blessed with eternal youth

Space was ample and the sofa and chairs were very comfortable. The bed was good. The advice where to eat was perfect.

In my age group a narrow spiral staircase to the sleeping quarters is not ideal, especially as the bathroom was down below.

Good value for money, does the job

Nice and cosy, welcoming host, beautiful house. large screen TV with cable and good internet. Flexible hours to accommodate us. Good value for money.

The place was not heated, although it was below 10 degrees outside at night. Breakfast was basic. Bed is soft and not the most comfortable for a couple (2 separate beds put together).

A lot of space, living room downstairs and bedroom upstairs, very beautiful and quiet location. Very nice breakfast and a very gracious host. Big flat screen TV and wi-fi worked great.

Not a very short walk to the subway station, but this is a little difficult only if you have small children that get tired easily. The staircase to the bedroom is a little difficult to use, it is quite a narrow spiral, but we managed just fine.

Host stole my money and she did not answer when I contacted her

I paid her more money because she did not have change and she never gave me change back. I contacted her and no answer so far. I left a mattress waterproof cover for my son, I contacted her and no answer so far. When we arrived, the heating system was broken and even it it's not her fault and she repaired it, we were freezing for a couple of hours with a 10 months old baby girl.

Another perfect stay

Exceptional B&B in a superb neighborhood. The duplex was cozy, comfortable, and had amazing decorations. Our room was spacious and the bed was perfect. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Impeccable presentation. bonus: The place had many candles which created the perfect ambiance for a relaxing night!!!

The place is really well-appointed but the wifi could have been better and the stairs are quite slippery.

Charming B&B

Lovely property attached to Stèphanie’s house in a tranquil residential area of Brussels. Perfect for a few nights away, whether business or leisure. Big living area with a fridge and seating areas. Pretty garden with seating. Stèphanie brought me a lovely breakfast each morning, which was unexpected - lots of fresh pastries, cheese, fruit etc! Great wifi

As the property is attached to Stèphanie’s house, it’s not as private as I expected. She was lovely, but it felt a little odd to know anyone could come in from the house next door at any time!

Bien. Appartement bien situé

L accueil très chaleureux de la propriétaire. L'appartement super bien situé dans un quartier résidentiel à 15mm à pied du métro pour se rendre à Bruxelles. On peut se garer très facilement dans la rue. Le petit déjeuner est copieux avec viennoiserie et pain frais. Café et thé à disposition dans l appartement.

Le coin cuisine est un peu petit. Micro-ondes à disposition mais pas de possibilité de cuisiner. Propreté du micro-ondes à revoir.

Absolut ruhige und grüne Lage. Die Gastgeberin war sehr liebenswürdig und bot ein großartiges Frühstück mit frischem Obstsalat, Säften und vieles mehr. Für ein B& B war das Frühstück außergewöhnlich.

Wenn man nur auf den ÖPNV angewiesen ist, ist die Anbindung etwas zeitaufwendig, aber gut machbar.

Schöne ruhige Lage mit sehr freundlicher Vermieterin

Sehr freundliche Vermieterin, schöne Lage mit Blick ins Grüne, gutes Frühstück (nur mit zuwenig Butter). Guter Tipp für das Abendessen in einem urigen nahegelegenen Restaurant.

Das 2. Bett war nicht bezogen, es gab überhaupt nur ein Handtuch für 2 Personen. Wurde aber auf unsere Bitte alles schnell erledigt.

Nette Unterkunft im Grünen, um Brüssel zu besuchen.

Ruhige, grüne Lage. Mit dem Bus 34 ist man schnell beim Europäischen Parlament. Hübsches Viertel und gemütliche Ferienwohnung. Kommunikation mit Besitzerin über WhatsApp lief problemlos.

Der Teppich im Schlafbereich für Hausstauballergiker eher ungeeignet (und durch die Fotos vorab nicht ersichtlich). Schön wäre es auch gewesen, ein kurzes Hallo von der Gastgeberin zu bekommen und persönlich nach Tipps fragen zu können.

Un séjour nostalgique (j’ai vécu dans ce quartier..)

Hébergement entouré de forêt, mais tout pres d'un arret de bus Duplex chic et spacieux. Petit-dej sain et équilibré. Les hôtes sont très agréable et très attentionnés.
