Riad Souad Marrakech

Camera ben curata e pulita,colazione buona. I proprietari del Riad sono stati davvero gentilissimi. A disposizione in terrazza c'è una piccola piscina per potersi rinfrescare e rilassarsi.

The location was very good, the staff was extremy helpfull and kind. They helped us to feel like home.

The location was great, and very quaint. Good breakfast.

The roof terrace. It’s a perfect end to a day exploring and more could be done to make it more comfortable.

The interiors were traditional and the rooftop was a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle. The staff meant well.

The property is located in an undeveloped area and down a series of alleys that are unlit. This meant that in the evening my sister and I were left to walk down dark alleyways by ourselves as no driver could not take us to the doorstep. The doors to the rooms are also locked with a small padlock, rather than a typical room key, which didn’t feel particularly secure. Further, unfortunately the dining options are limited both in-house and locally. Breakfast was prepared however lunch, snacks or dinner were not an option - This wasn’t a concern, however when I asked whether there were local recommendations, the answer was “no”, which was a fairly consistent experience with the staff. When my sister and I dined at the breakfast the staff asked us to be quiet - bearing in mind we were having a level conversation around 9am. My sister was also asked to carry her suitcase up the stairs as it was “too heavy” for the staff to do. We were not provided water and charged for the bottled water we asked for. While the staff were polite, it felt like we were staying complimentary in a friend of a friends Riad, rather than a fairly pricey accomodation that we had paid for. Finally, on my last morning the Riad had arranged a 9am transfer to the airport, however I was hurriedly rushed out at 8.35am as the driver wanted to get to the airport to pick up another passenger, which cut my time with my sister short. Normally I hate to complain as I feel totally rude! However I would have loved to know these details when I was researching my stay.
