Great alpine hotel.

The staff was always very helpful and service oriented. The facilities were top notch and clean. The food quality and taste was also impressive, we ate really well. Rooms are also pretty comfortable and big, nothing is missing.

Very few improvement points, maybe the breakfast could be improved with a coffee machine. Faster than ordering coffee every time to the waiter. Besides that nothing was missing, the hotel really did all to make us feel like home.

Nice place but do not argue with the management.

Great food, good afternoon snack service, nice buildings, nice spa very good treatments, very good German Sommelier. Good inside free parking. Nice village in a great valley.

Some of the service staff did not understand German language too much. Towel management is fully out of bounds; it took me two days to get my SPA towels picked up from my room and after a call I understood that I could only pick up new ones at the reception; no towels at the SPA area. At the reception they told me that they are going to introduce a towel credit card (!). Reception not open since the family will have lunch or dinner. Check in my room with 2 cleaning ladies and another guest still in the room (at that in times of the pandemic). Berg Suites offer a large room with a fully equipped kitchen (it is more an appartement) with nothing in the minibar and no coffee machine. In a letter I was informed that all guests need to pay a fee for increased energy costs (is that legal); they did not charge it to me. Many things in the hotel are not allowed and I we felt not really welcome at the end. Some persons of the managing family are just not seeing the guest and their needs but more their economical interests. SPA will be too small if fully booked. We decided to ignore the family and enjoy our stay in a lovely setting.

Echter Familienbetrieb mit tollem Essen

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, ein echter Familienbetrieb. War der ideale Ausgangspunkt für unsere Bike- und Wandertouren. Essen war stets Top und das Frühstück opulent. Das Hotel gibt auch Lunchboxes zum Mittagessen mit .. ist im Preis inbegriffen.

Adult only war für mich einwenig altbacken.

20 von 10 - Welcome to paradise

"... vielen Dank!" Das möchten und müssen wir wohl als erstes schreiben. Denn der Aufenthalt im "Kräuter und Spa-Hotel Das Schäfer" war Erholung und Verwöhnen pur: vom überaus freundlichen Empfang über das sensationell schöne Zimmer, die leckere Mittagsjause in bisher nie da gewesener Qualität, das freundliche Personal bis hin zum liebevoll gestalteten Spa-Bereich. Besonders erwähnt werden muss an dieser Stelle das individuell auf die persönlichen Bedürfnisse zugeschnittene 5-Gänge-Menü am Abend - auch Veggies werden hier rundum glücklich. Zwar gab es wirklich außergewöhnlich feinen Käse in großer Auswahl zum Abschluss. Doch die raffinierten und doch nicht abgehobenen Gaumenschmeicheleien kitzelten die Geschmacksnerven in eine Art und Weise, dass man sie am liebsten noch stundenlang auf der Zunge konservieren wollte. Das Frühstück entsprach nicht 4+-Sternen, sondern hätte 40 verdient: mit grünem Smoothie, frisch gepresstem O-Saft, knusprig-fluffigen Brötchen, Blubberwasser, Lachs, erneut dem sagenhaften Käse, individuell zusammengestelltem Tee - und neben dem Bircher-Müsli natürlich dem besten warmen Haferbrei, den wir je gegessen haben. Auch die Eier von den sicher glücklichsten Hühnern der Welt wollen wir nicht vergessen. Tipp: Einen Abstecher sollte man unbedingt in die Kräuterküche von Chefin und Kräuterpädagogin Christine Schäfer machen. Selbst gesammelte Kräuter werden hier veredelt und finden in Auszügen ihren Weg u.a. in Salben und Tinkturen. Nach einem Sturz auf der Piste war die Arnica-Beinwell-Hanf-Salbe die Rettung, Apothekenprodukte kommen bei so viel geballter Kraft der Natur schlicht nicht mit. Und noch ein Tipp: Wem die qualitativ sehr hochwertige Matratze zu hart ist, der kann sich für einen Schlaf wie auf Wolken kostenlos jederzeit einen enorm bequemen Topper auflegen lassen.

Wunderbares Hotel an ruhiger, landschaftlich schöner Lage. Tolles, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet und wunderbare Abendmenüs. Grosszügige Zimmer und schöner Spa-Bereich. Schäfers sind herzliche Gastgeber, wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!
