Friendly staff, comfortably staff. Only decent location.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant prices were on the pricer side and had small portions. Location was far from beach and main areas, but there were still nice cafes, convenience stores and even a bar within a 1km journey. Daily yoga lessons was a bonus, although we did not know the lessons didn't run on weekends which affected us. Pool was great and we were offered a free early check and and options for late check out.

Our room had an exterior bathroom which we found typical in Bali but the shower and part of the toliet had no room which meant dirt and leaves got in and were on the floor. Also meant staff had to enter daily to put down mosquito repellent.

Quiet location, nowhere near a beach, sit back and unwind

A choice of swimming pools. Private space in our room with plunge pool and the best mosquito bed covering, not a flimsy net but luxury soft muslin that amply covered the whole bed and the bed was a delicious decadent size. We had a spa treatment and that was gorgeous.

I have a great many food allergies/restrictions and my menu was limited and not all the staff understood sufficient English. We has a verandah at the front of the room where we liked to sit at read day or night but being in a jungle we were bitten by mosquitos constantly, a screen around the verandah would have helped. Lastly, it was rather difficult to get out of the swimming pools when you are not as young and agile as I used to be. This meant I hurt myself everytime I went in. An extra step is all that is needed.

I’m happy that I decided to stay at this Hotel. Personal was very friendly, the sound of nature - amazing. Exactly what I wanted. And I really enjoyed the view.

Fabulous friendly staff. Great yoga instructor. We will return a 3rd time!

Our 2nd time staying here, it is real Bali set amongst trees and no traffic noise. Daily yoga at 10am, had a villa with our own pool as well there are 2 other pools to swim at. Traditional Bali feel.

Such a peaceful and relaxing experience

The environment here is super comfortable, and every staff member is genuinely kind and helpful. It’s really peaceful at night , you truly feel like you’re getting away from the noise and stress of everyday life. They also offer yoga classes, which was a lovely bonus!

A wonderful and relaxing stay.

It was a beautiful property. The room with a pool was super quaint and relaxing and the outdoor bathroom concept really worked! The beds were SO comfortable and the staff were very helpful.

The public bathrooms need some attention. We found the quality of the food at the restaurant to be below what we expected.

Lovely short stay.

Loved the room and the setting of the hotel. Really beautiful and just well maintained.

I didn’t like the fact that there was a bathtub and a shower but no hot water. If there is a bathtub, please provide the ability to have enough hot water to run a bath otherwise it’s very misleading.

The room was nice with an enclosed outside area for privacy, complimentary water was glass bottles of water for drinking

I'm not sure what kind of filtration they were using for the private pool but it felt a bit oily, and no matter what temperature we put the aircon on it wouldn't change and the room was very cold, but overall we liked our stay and staff were very welcoming

This place was truly paradise!

We loved absolutely everything about our stay. The rooms felt like old school Bali, around 15 minutes scooter away from the hustle and bustle of Canggu but still within walking distance to some spas, convenience stores and cafes. We loved how cosy and welcoming the place was - the staff were attentive, helpful and relaxed. The rooms were a dream - the canopy beds, outdoor bathtubs and two decent size pools felt like paradise. Even when we had an issue with some flies in one of our rooms, the staff were able to clean the room thoroughly to ensure it was comfortable for our next night stay. Another unexpected highlight was the incredible restaurant. There were a number of breakfasts to choose from, as well as healthy Indonesian and Western meal options for lunch and dinner meaning that we rarely wanted to leave the hotel. Everything was incredible and I don't think we will ever forget our stay at Kalapa

It would be nice to have tea, coffee and kettle facilities in the rooms. Although they were included with breakfast, it would be nice to have the extra option. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The staff were very friendly and when we had an issue with a noisy neighbour they promptly moved us to a quieter room. Prices for breakfast and in the restaurant were very reasonable.

Property was difficult at times with a small child. The entrance to the hotel was a steep hill and there were lots of steps with no much space for a young child. Whilst not a reflection on the hotel, the location with Canggu traffic made small journeys quite long and arduous.

Gorgeous

What a gorgeous resort that caters for a smaller number of guests, in a quiet area close enough to grab a bike to Canggu in 10 mins Gentle flow yoga each morning, our yogi was attentive and supportive of individual needs Staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived, polite and attentive throughout the stay. Gorgeous and clean interior in our room Wonderful Usada massage at the spa as well

At the time we visited there was just one yoga class per day in the morning, not sure if this was due to time of year or demand. Also maybe a personal preference but breakfast was till 10am with yoga at 10am. it would have been nice to have been able to have breakfast after yoga (we did take our breakfast to our room one morning and ate it cold after yoga)

I loved this hotel, the room and my outside pool from my room. I also loved the restaurant and the food and especially the smoothies and the breakfast menu. Also I had a Yoga class I really enjoyed. the two pool was also great and the friendly staff.

Nice, quiet resort

Nice clean room, big swimming pool, but the best was food in restaurant, compliment to the chef. Amazing, delicious, we had breakfast, always nice style, very tasty. We came also for lunch and dinner. Was the same. Super tasty, big portion, stylish.

It is yoga resort, but suddenly is yoga only one time per day at 10:00. Breakfast starting from 8 oclock and later you can do yoga, however if you plan some trip, you cant go. Missing definetely evening yoga.

Amazing villas with friendly staff

Beautiful villas and a stunning resort. I loved the yoga classes in the morning and I also paid extra for the flower bath and hot stone massage that were also very good. The staff here is super accommodating and lovely. The restaurant food is delicious and so is the breakfast! The rooms are super comfortable - very comfy bed - and the outside bathroom is really beautiful.

The rooms have a little less light than in the pictures during the daytime but not an issue at all!

Great stay at Canggu

The rooms were nice designed, clean and comfortable. Hotel was in general a peaceful getaway from the busy life of Canggu. I like the restaurant and the food and it was cool to order some fresh juice to the pool! And the staff was very helpful with all requests. I would definitely stay again here!

I loved the yoga there, the yoga teacher is really knowledgeable and good. The staff is really nice and helping out with any issues. The room with the private pool is amazing! It’s beautiful and relaxing!

A little piece of heaven in Canggu

The resort is stunning and the staff are wonderful, they accommodated all our needs. The food is amazing, the music they play during breakfast is the best- Balinese music which is so relaxing. They even upgraded our room as they had some construction going on.

The pathway needs to be maintained as there was some moss on some stones which made it slippery and I nearly fell a few times. Also some of the stones are loose, so again have to be so careful whilst walking. Maybe a sturdy pathway would be better.

Would be a fabulous resort with more attention to detail .

The staff were lovely . I loved the traditional room we stayed in the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room to move about . The pool was great .

Initial impressions were concerning. The driveway to the property was full of potholes and there was trash on the ground at the entrance which actually remained there for the whole of our stay . Our room was lovely but lacked storage for clothes . There was no luggage rack or towel rail . The outside of our room needed attention the gardens were unkempt and there was a bamboo fence to the neighbouring property that made the area lack privacy . The food in the restaurant was average . There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room .

Exceptional

It was pleasure to be there as a honeymoon couple. Kano and all staff were kind and super helpful. Kalapa itself a bit far from Canggu center but if you have any app to order bike or taxi it takes roughly 10 min.

Calm and beautiful place but a bit far from the action

Beautiful little hotel in Canggu. Very quiet and enjoyable place, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are beautiful and quite spacious.

Compares to the other places we stayed at in Bali, this resort was really infected with mosquitoes. Impossible to go in the pool or to the restaurant without being bitten or bothered by the little buggers (even with repellent). Checking out ended up being a bit complicated because the items listed on our final bill did not reflect what we ordered (food items had different names from the restaurant menu, or switched with another item) and it made it nearly impossible to be sure that we paid exactly from what we owed. They also charged us because we broke a wine glass in the room, which, ok, we broke it, but it’s not very classy or what we expected from a hotel of this standing.

The outdoor bathroom and pool sounds great but in reality there were lots of mosquitoes which can’t be helped in the climate but if we were to stay again I would get a room without a pool.

A place of calm in Canggu

Although is not near downtown we love the area because it was more quiet. There are 3 yoga classes available everyday, and also 2 pools. The staff was really nice.

We had to wait such a long time for the breakfast both of the days. I understand is homemade but it will be useful to have one more person working with the restaurant team. At least to have the coffee and juice while we wait for the main plates. The room was nice although the door that connected to the bathroom outside wouldn’t keep close (mostly due to wind), so mosquitos came to the room. Would recommend to put some mechanism to fix this. Also it’ll be really nice if there rooms were supplied with mosquito repellent plugs. And finally, it will be really nice to have more hangers or a place to hang the wet clothes or towels outside.
