Hostel Vagabond

My biggest praise is for the staff team who were extremely kind, helpful and supportive to everybody during my stay. They really make everybody feel at home in the hostel and thereby fostering a lovely sense of community between travellers staying in Sarajevo. The location is also extremely central and fantastic.

The location is great in that it is on the main pedestrian street in Sarajevo but this also means you will get sounds from the street throughout the day and night. There are multiple windows to block this out normally but as it was quite warm, we had to keep the windows open and although you get used to it, I wouldn't recommend it if you're a sensitive sleeper. The bathrooms were also very small with things missing from the toilet flush and shower door.

Its a Good place to Stay, Few things to add. You will not get Hot water and during my stay i just got it like 2-10 times. Even the staff said they are aware asked to use showers on top floor. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay and they take care of everything. I came back twice here and will for sure come back again. Few thibgs i will add for the Budget travellers. Nearby Bar to have drinks which don’t hurt your pocket - “LaCava Pub” . Nearby Best place to have food and breakfast and coffee - “Mrvica Old Town” its just beside the Hostel and do try their coffee with 5 cakes i don’t remember the name but it was best and they serve best croissants in the town . Supermarket near to Hostel to lift water and other things - “Konzum” if you miss Konzum then just beside it is 24x7 market which is little expensive than Konzum. On street pub visit ORT Cafe Bar and Tesla Bar. Fabrica Coffee is also nice place but my fav was Mrvica Old town. Resturant Dveri was closed but it will open soon so do visit with reservations. I don’t remember anymore as i visited almost 20 cafe’s and bars and these were my fav ones.

Showers were cold.

Right in the city centre, clean, and staff were friendly. Towels were also provided for free. Perfect for solo travellers.

The things I liked about my other accommodation were the location and the comfortable bed.

The place was cluttered, with shoes everywhere, and the common areas could have been more hygienic. The internet connection was weak, and the environment felt damp. However, the staff were attentive and helpful.
