The porter is very nice and provide good service.

The room layout is very awkward.

The room was comfortable, the bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice. Breakfast was okay. Nice interior property (outside is bland and sterile). Miki (Mikias) and the restaurant was spectacular. He was pretty much the only one who would really get whatever you needed and asked if you needed anything. Great guy. The girls at the front desk did their best to get us ice and everything we needed.

CHECK LOCATION ON GOOGLE MAP BEFORE BOOKING. It is not adjacent to old town and we did not feel comfortable walking at night back from old town to the hotel. In fact, there is a multiple person brawl when we were walking home the last night and we were almost in the middle of it. We asked the hotel if it was safe to walk around at night and they said absolutely, but I assure you it is absolutely not (especially if you’re coming from old town). Take a taxi the first time and look around and you’ll see what we mean. We absolutely would not stay here again. Under no circumstances is this hotel a 5-star property *(see below) in our opinion after staying at other 5-star hotels and researching what are the requirements of a 5-star hotel *(see below). It should also be noted that for some bizarre reason you can't have heat until November 1. That is not the hotel's fault, just some ridiculous city ordinance. So prepared to freeze. But on that note, I think the hotel should have a generator to handle this since they claim to be a 5-star hotel. There's no 5-star hotel in the world that I know of, where ever heard of, that you freeze in your room because you can't get heat. They do not have 24-hour room service nor 24-hour valet service. The bar didn't open until 3 (15:00) and sometimes we could not get anything to eat or drink. The breakfast “menu” was a joke. Note the picture of the “pancake with fruit and maple syrup,” obviously one tiny pancake and missing the fruit and syrup! Really? However, the buffet part was good. *NOTE: <<"To be an international five-star hotel, a property must meet high standards in service, infrastructure, and amenities, which typically include 24-hour multilingual staff, fine-dining restaurant and at least one other dining/lounge option are mandatory. 24-hour room service with a diverse, high-quality menu is also required.

Beautiful building, very clean

Prepaid for a junior suite but no sofa or sitting room and the bathroom was down a spiral staircase. Ended up downgrading to a room on one level with a hotel dinner as compensation.

Luxury hotel, in a superb old palace. Big rooms, clean, very helpful stuff. 15-20 minutes walk from all the sites, parking inside, don't have to worry about ZTL zone(restricted areas). Nice breakfast in a beautiful restaurant. Very good price for 5star hotel.

We ordered 2 times room service, one was for 1 pizza, the second was for 2 pasta, they charged me 15 euros extra for each time delivery!!! Of course I didn't know that, or else I wouldn't order. Feeled liked being scamed, not deserving for this kind of hotel. Should be writen at the menu, clearly!

Maybe the location isn’t optimal but I would definitely stay here again next time in Parma.

Absolutely fantastic hotel with magnificent rooms. Room had 7 meters from floor to ceiling, can you imagine. Also one of the best breakfasts we have ever had.

The hotel is a beauty. The staff, especially the front desk employee that did our checking and checkout is a perfect employee. Breakfast is excellent with a vey wide choice in a beautiful restaurant. Walking distance to the city center

Good decor and clean. Some staff were friendly and accommodating.

Lack of facilities given the price - no gym/swimming pool. Lack of basics such as bar snacks, no refill of water in room, lack of attention to detail.

Room and the whole hotel was very beautiful.

We didn’t get any service in the breakfast and people working there were a bit rude. There was a lot of noices during the night so we couldn’t sleep well. Over all experience not so nice but the place was absolutely beautiful.

The Grand Hotel was a wonderful place with attentive service and very friendly staff! The Grand Hotel is in a residential neighborhood that is perfectly situated between the historic center and Santo Cristo Piazza. It was an easy walk to the Historic Center. The rooms were spacious and comfortable! Breakfast is served each day and is complimentary! We highly recommend The Grand Hotel in Parma!

Sumptuous place dripping with marble. Big comfortable bed, great shower. Bit of a hike into central Parma through some slightly dodgy back streets, but no big problem. Spacious underground car park.

It was very stately, clean and good quality items.

Freaked me out that it was a psychiatric hospital in past times

Simply perfect the dream of a hotel

Very nice room

We have stayed here before but this was a disappointment. The hotel was struggling to offer a proper service to its guests. To be fair, the hotel had only recently reopened - but the prices didn't reflect the situation.

Mi e’ piaciuto tutto . Sopra le aspettative. Per appagare la vista di tanta meraviglia. Colazione fantastica soprattutto per chi e’ intollerante. Hotel fantastico pulitissimo curatissimo illuminatissimo di luce solare. Camera e bagno enorme . Doccia doppia.

Unica pecca. Avevo scelto una camera su due livelli con vasca angolare idromassaggio … mi han cambiato la camera. Peccato!!!

Son style architectural somptueux

Un peu loin du centre

La chambre était top, très comfortable et grande,, quelques équipements vieux (ventilations qui ne fonctionnaient pas correctement et du coup, empêche de dormir la nuit, même éteint)

Nous avons été dérangé par téléphone et a la porte a plusieurs reprises par le personnel alors que nous avions déjà communiquer le besoin de calme. Quand nous avons demandé pourquoi ils nous ont appelé à la réception, on nous a rigolé au nez en disant que c'était une erreur... On m'a proposé de réserver dans le restaurant par booking, ce a quoi j'ai dit être intéressé.. et ils m'ont écrit par whatsapp pour proposer des package st-valentin au lieu de prendre ma réservation et quand nous sommes, le restaurant était plein..

Per una junior suite mi sarei aspettato un phon di buona qualità e non un phon da piscina attaccato al muro. La tenda della doccia bocciata, mi sarei aspettato un vetro. Ho trovato un calzino impolverato sotto al mobiletto del frigo. Kit di benvenuto scarso- capsula the pessima qualità.

-Struttura architettonica di inizio ‘900 su ricalco di palazzi del tempo di SanPietroburgo (a me personalmente è piaciuta molto, anche se ho saputo che all’inizio ospitava un ospedale e poi un orfanotrofio) -arredamento e lampadari -letto molto comodo -televisore super -personale alla reception molto utile

-appena arrivati (ed erano le 18:00) le camere erano fredde (camere deluxe superior n.8 e n.10 a piano terra e seminterrato!) e non era possibile aumentare la temperatura più di 19 gradi. Andata in reception e attivato riscaldamento. -ci era stata data una sola tessera x stanza quando il piano inferiore che ospitava il reparto bagno necessitava di una seconda tessera per il riscaldamento. Poi abbiamo chiesto e ci è stata data la 2a. -non c’era un phon decente ma quello “a tubo” antiquato degli hotel di 20/30 anni fa, dal quale usciva pochissima aria. Fatto presente alla reception ci dicono che alla reception hanno la possibilità di dare dei phon (incredibile dover chiedere un phon in un 5 stelle!) -set di cortesia in bagno davvero pensoso x un 5 stelle (poche bustine sporadiche di shampo e balsamo) Nemmeno un bicchiere in bagno -in bagno presente una doccia a sfioro e una vasca idromassaggio: i dispenser di docciaschiuma e shampo erano solo nella doccia, quindi se uno entrava nella vasca era fritto… -telefono non abilitato alle chiamate esterne, nemmeno da stanza a stanza (ho provato a chiamare mia figlia che era x l’appunto nella stanza n.8, ma con sorpresa ho ricevuto il messaggio: “telefono no abilitato alle chiamate esterne”. -colazione non variatissima ma di qualità, mi aspettavo più varietà in un 5 stelle e opzioni x celiaci e intolleranti al lattosio più strutturate. Ci siamo seduti al tavolo, il personale e’ passato più volte accanto a noi senza mai chiederci cosa desiderassimo (e la sala era mezza vuota). Ho dovuto chiamarli io per ordinare caffè e cappuccio (non ammissibile in un 5 stelle). Inoltre sotto al tavolo presente un fazzoletto usato e due nastri colorati (del precedente ospite?)
