Fantastic place!

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. Lovely big rooms in separate cottages with jacuzzi bath and outside seating area, stunning pool scene, pool bar serving excellent food and drinks, amazing food at the lakeside restaurant and the best thing of all, the wonderful staff who can't do enough for you. All situated in an incredibly dramtic cliff facing area with proper jungle feels.

Insane views, everywhere you look you’ll see a piece of heaven. Staff are very welcoming and attentive.

The hotel is not “adult only” hotel , in our stay there were a lot of children, which honestly made the experience less relaxing and chill. We chose the pond room, which was exceptional, but to whom might concern , there will always be some kind of bugs in the room because of the greenery around also lizards on the balcony sometimes.

Tranquil scenic hotel. Didn’t like Ao Nang

The resort is set in nature and sitting by the pool it is quite beautiful. It feels very tranquil. The accommodation was in an individual cottage and breakfast was in a scenic location by a small lake. Nice smoothies!

The main thing for us was the location. Ao Nang is the town nearby and the hotel has a shuttle to/from. However, Ao Nang was a big disappointment to us… over crowded, tacky and a little bit Benidorm. We stayed 2 nights and chose the hotel as its close to picking up boats to the islands. We moved on to Klong Muang 20 mins up the coast and it was so much better. If I was being critical, cottages could have done with a bit of maintenance. Gym is v small. Breakfast ok but not amazing.

One of the nicest hotel experience we ever had!

This might have been one of the nicest traveling experiences ever. While Ao Nang itself was perhaps a little disappointing, the stay in Ban Sainai Resort was welcoming, warm and relaxing. Beautifully situated roughly 20 walking minutes from the beach (there is a shuttle if you don’t like walking!), the resort is calm and extremely clean. By far the best thing about Ban Sainai, however, is the staff - professional and also so funny, always helpful and super friendly, we had the best time ever because of them! We had a simple bungalow behind the pool area, very calm, very spacious and quite enjoyable, we especially liked the very generous bathroom. In regards to some reviews mentioning the lack of alcohol: there are bars and very nice restaurants literally five walking minutes away. We didn’t miss anything, we loved the breakfast (we stayed for a week and were not bored at all) and were perfectly fine with pool snacks. The resort would be our No. 1 reason to return to Ao Nang - we enjoyed every single minute!

Absolutely nothing to complain. After one week, we felt the bed a bit (it is, as mentioned before, on the harder side) - that’s really all.

Something’s need to be more clear and more honest!

The hotel is located slightly away from noise, which makes it very calm and relaxing. There is a lot of greenery, a large swimming pool, and a beautiful view over the cliffs. The Forest Room bathroom is very beautiful, spacious, and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. There is a free shuttle almost every hour from the hotel to ao nang beach and back as walking distance can be difficult because of the heat.

This is a Muslim-friendly hotel, which is absolutely fine. However, considering that maybe around 90% of the guests are not Muslim and do not necessarily follow Muslim rules, it would be fair and honest to clearly mention this information on Booking in advance because for us would be a no as we expected to drink a cocktail or enjoy happy hour on the pool as we did in other hotels. Non Muslim Guests expecting bacon at breakfast or cocktails by the pool may be disappointed as we were. Additionally, the pool area has no animation or atmosphere at all, which makes it feel a bit empty. The food on the breakfast should have more quality and the staff should be more professional, the hotel is beautiful but honestly the service is a 5/10. Not worth the price. some details could be improved. The room should have more towels and a proper bathrobe would be expected instead of a very thin, tissue-like one. The slippers provided in the room should also be disposable, which was not the case and made me quite uncomfortable so you are putting your feet in a slipper that was used by somebody else. Paying 500€ for nights (the cheapest room by the way) feels slightly overpriced for what is offered. Unfortunately, we will not come back.

Mountain view resort with comfortable bed

The rooms are of decent size. We stayed at the villa (sanai forest), which you can tell are actually new addition to the resort. When you walk towards the resort restaurant, you will find the old resort facilities which are of different design. We like the old resort better but the new room provides great comfort (comfortable bed, working AC, good pressure water for shower). The bathroom offers nice design and stunning view. But it is lacking privacy as I realize the neighbors may be able to see what we are doing if the curtains are up during the day. Nice mountain view from the pool and lobby.

The mosquito lotion provided in room contains DEET (I only find it out a few days later when I have applied quite some amount to myself and went snorkelling in the ocean) The resort is connected to the main street of Krabi, but it is definitely not a convenient location but rather "remote".

I liked the property grounds, nice pool with an amazing view, plenty of pool chairs. The staff were very nice. I like that the property was slightly removed from the man busy strip of Ao Nang.

The breakfast did not have a ton of options but it was good. It does take like 20-30 minutes to walk to the beach fyi!

Incredible views with an amazing breakfast spread

Stunning pool and spacious accommodations. Free Tuk Tuk from the property to the beach and back every few hours. Staff helpful in arranging transportation. Amazing breakfast!

A beautiful setting and excellent green ethos

A good selection of breakfast. The staff are wonderful, kind, gentle and very helpful. It is an idyllic setting, and the green ethos is very important to me and done so well.

More English breakfast options but this is a small matter. This was our second visit. There were more families with children this time and that spoiled it for us. If it is going to be a retreat, then children are not conducive to this. They are naturally noisy and spoil the idea of the quietness of a retreat. They detract from the calm relaxing environment. I would prefer it be an adult only place and I would also recommend that devices are discouraged. One man had his laptop at breakfast one day! This isn't relaxing for other guests who are trying to escape devices and the outside world and to unwind and enjoy nature. The staff are kind and gentle and clearly find it confrontational to ask guests to adhere to the ethos. Someone brought beer to the poolside and some are loud and intrusive to others, talking loudly on phones and amongst themselves, which is not ok and staff need to be able to say so for the benefit of other guests who do not want this. Guests need to understand it is different from other resorts and that they cannot act as they do at other places. There was also someone in beachwear at breakfast. Again this is not ok. Respect for local customs and modesty should be respected and I was offended by this and again staff should inform guests about appropriate dress codes when eating at breakfast. I think when advertising, it should be highlighted that Ban Sainai is a different experience from other resorts and it is not for everyone. There are many people who want to escape from their usually busy lives and this is a huge selling point which will continue to attract like-minded guests. If families with children are to be included, then a separate pool and family area should be built to allow adults without children to relax away from them.

Amazing property

An amazing property not far from the hustle of Ao nang (20 min walk) Ban Sainai is so peaceful and beautiful everywhere you look. Your rooms also very very private. The food is also exceptional. Highly recommend

The only thing I would say is they need to advertise more clearly (especially on booking) that they don’t sell alcohol anywhere on the property. So when you’re relaxing at the pool you can’t buy a beer or cocktail.

The location is Amzing

The hotel location is amazing, all the food is halal, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, a staff member named Dul behaved in a completely unprofessional manner. From the start, he treated my children disrespectfully. He handled my luggage aggressively, causing damage to my bag. On our final day, he tampered with our personal belongings in the room and sent them to the lobby for check-out without our consent, without notifying us, and before the official check-out time.

Beyond all expectations

A beautiful oasis in Ao Nang! The staff were so welcoming and we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. The room was incredible, a lot of attention to detail. The garden is amazing. Just going to breakfast every morning felt like walking in paradise.

Outstanding hotel in Ao Nang

Absolutely fantastic resort. Very near all the action of Ao Nang but far enough away for peace and quiet, in gorgeous surroundings. The customer care from all the staff was outstanding too. The restaurant is in a lovely location by a pond, serving a very good breakfast ( we had in Thailand). The room we stayed in was also exceptional, and there is a great communal pool too. This hotel comes highly recommended by us. Thanks Ban Sainai for a memorable stay 🥰

The grounds are beautiful but Would be nicer to have a regular golf cart service to the room. Also no drinking by the pool! Which is perfectly fine due to it being in a Muslim area, but just a heads up.

Great stay, some minor improvement for the room is needed

I had a pleasant stay overall — the hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. The common areas and room were tidy and nicely arranged, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

A few small details could be improved. The room orientation wasn’t ideal, and it would have been nice to have some basic amenities such as hangers in the bathroom, cotton pads, and a magnifying mirror. A charging option or plug in the bathroom was also missing, which would have been convenient.

A lovely hotel that is away from the Ao nang noise. Nice view.

The view is incredible, and the pool was really nice.

The drainage in the shower was pretty bad, ended up showering in a puddle by the end of it. When checking out in a rush, they requested me to check the room, first time for me, usually its keys, bill and bye.

Love this Resort ❤️

We really enjoye our stay here. The staff are all super nice and helpful. The Sainai Forest room is pretty spacy for two. It's comfortable, clean and quiet. The breakfast is tasty and full of variety. There are also some great restaurants in walkable distance. The shuttle to the beach is on time convenient; we can catch one almost every hour. Definitely gonna come back here if we have the opportunity.

There's nothing we don't like about the resort. Only one tiny suggestion: It would be great if the shuttle could have a stop at the night market.

We had an amazing stay!

We had an excellent stay! The location was amazing: the pool offers a breathtaking view that makes every swim feel special. The beach was a 20 to 30 minute walk, but the hotel offers a shuttle-service. The entire property was spotless and well taken care of. The staff members were so friendly, helpful and fun to talk to, which really made our stay special. Breakfast was delicious and we have a new favorite sweet: the roti with chocolate sauce! The à la carte meals were tasty and reasonably priced. Krabi is one of our new favorite destinations and we will we return if we are ever back in the region.

A perfect relaxing stay in Ao Nang, a highlight of our Thailand trip

Quiet cozy location, charming breakfast setting with lots of healthy and tasty options, professional and kind staff, beautiful views and well-managed property grounds, and immaculate swimming pools both the private one in our villa, and the common one on the grounds. The villa is brand new and has everything one could possibly need during a stay in Krabi. This is the one resort that makes me want to come back.

Th best place to stay in Ao Nang.

Staff is amazing. They’re really keen to make the guests have the best service ever. The shuttle to the beach is very useful and works really well. Breakfast is over the top each day there’s something different. The place is magical, clean and silent. Low season is perfect cause it’s not crowded and we got a room upgrade.
