Gongsimga Hanok Guesthouse

This is a traditional Hanok, so don't expect full comfort or a place full of ammenities. If you want to live the experience of living in one of these houses. This is your opportunity. The Hanok is very well located and a lot of places are within walking distance.

After going to a couple of additional hotels, I understood that Ramen is one of the more traditional breakfast food. At first it became as a cultural shock for us, so, I would've liked that the person would explain to us, how to prepare our breakfast, because we just didn't know.

Fantastic location to palaces and cool Hanok neighbourhood. An authentic Hanok experience. Very adequate breakfast.

Shower/toilet is very small.

If you’re keen to experience a traditional Hanok house this is a good choice. It’s not luxury - but traditional. Kind, helpful owner. Excellent location on the edge of Bukchon Hanok village and near Anguk for lots of cafes and restaurants. Easy walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace & Changdeokgung Palace. Easy transport options via buses, Anguk station & airport limousine bus 6011. Just be aware as a traditional Hanok house you must remove shoes when entering rooms plus, as it has underfloor heating you need to step up/down into the rooms. Bed is a traditional floor mattress. Also, as it says in the listing, the single room has its bathroom across the courtyard.

Proximity to metro station and foods.

Hanok is similar to the village houses that we had in the 60s to 80s, but our houses were very much larger. So, it is not some new experience for us. For single who like to experience something difference it is good, for family with children I don't recommend.
