It was a memorable family experience with some challenges.
The location is isolated in a small village with no stores or restaurants. The views, however, are stunning.
The weather was historically hot, and the red house, in particular, was uncomfortable, especially downstairs.

Beautiful cottage in a quaint village, tastefully renovated
What a beautifully designed and thought out place, with everything you could want. A small house, with lounge/kitchen and small shower room downstairs and a beautiful bedroom and shower room upstairs. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need, plus a welcome basket with wine, biscuits, some coffee and tea. The upstairs room is stunning, with a huge picture window with stunning view across the hills and valley. Heavy curtains ensure a great nights sleep. Everything in the house has been done with care, which is not often true in Italian self-catering places! This house called the green house, has everything colour coordinated, paintings, cushions, rugs and dishes, in greens, yellows and browns. Very traditional style but very tastefully done. The owners and caretakers are just so welcoming. We met Patrizia and her husband on arrival, who were there for a visit (they live part time here). We had a tour of the garden, pool and honesty bar which are shared with other people but never busy. The pool was amazing, stunning view of the valley. Carla who takes care of the property came later on to welcome us and share ideas for visits. We met the neighbours too and wandered the quiet centre each night and felt we had been there forever. Definitely a place to come back to. Thank you to everyone for a really lovely stay, we hope to be back soon! Highly recommended!
These are tiny things, as we loved it! The village itself is very small, with only one bar which is very rustic and housed in an old school. We wanted peace and quiet, which we got, so the fact there was only one basic bar, which also had a little shop, wasnt a problem. The house itself is lovely, but it is missing a private outside space. There is of course use of the massive garden and pool which is stunning, but there isnt really somewhere outside to eat (the house is right onto the private street) . Having said this, the owner brought us a little table to put outside the door. Very very kind and thoughtful people.
