Exceptional

I highly recommend to stay at least one night in Civitta, it was a great experience to relax and watch all the day trippers leave, leaving you the whole town to the few overnighters. Such a charming town. The owner of this property was extremely nice. He explained to us the history of the town which was very interesting. Also he has an awesome garden overlooking the valley.

Words can not describe Civita do Bagnoregio, this was our 3rd visit and the best of them all. Enough room for 6, facilities were good, the garden area was fabulous.

This place is truly special, no words can really describe it.

The hosts were amazingly friendly and helpful. The city in general is difficult to negotiate, but they helped us with transportation to and from the site. The accomodations were terrific, beautiful terrace overlooking the hills. This city was the highlight of vacation in Italy.

We should have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful getaway to Palazzo Contino. Generous host who picked us up at the Orvieto train station (for a reasonable fee) and gave us a wonderful introduction to Civita and the area. People living in Civita really care about the history and supporting the unique community. It was so special to be able to stay overnight and experience the quietness of the place. Palazzo Contino was quiet, comfortable, clean and artfully outfitted with personal and thoughtful furnishings. The pictures do not do it justice. We would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return sometime for a longer stay in the spring or fall.

So cool to stay in the town of Civita! Ilaria and Marco were wonderful hosts! They invited us up for home made dinner which was delicious. So knowledgeable about Civita so we learned a lot. There were only two of us but the apartment would fit many more quite comfortably. View from the garden was fantastic.

The best place to enjoy the tranquillity and beautiful scenery of Civita Bagnoregio

Ilaria (the hostess) was absolutely wonderful. Prior to our stay, she sent detailed instructions for how to get to Civita Bagnoregio and loads of amazing instructions for what to do and see while there. She was extremely friendly and open, and made us feel very welcome. Ilaria has a great knowledge and love for the place, and it shows. We were grateful that she took the time to tell us about the city and the history of the place. By far, the most incredible part of the house was the view from the terrace - pictures and words don't do the view justice, and we spent nearly all our time outside, enjoying tranquillity and the beautiful scenery. Staying overnight in Civita Bagnoregio is definitely worth-while, as you get to explore the village without the hordes of tourists that normally come during the day. There are plenty of nice restaurants to eat in during the night. I give my warmest recommendations and will definitely be coming back.
