Horrible hotel overall.

AC was extremely weak and I was sweating during my entire stay. I complained but the staff was reluctant to sort out this issue. There was a reason why this hotel was cheap. Also, the front was filled with cars caused so much traffic all day long. It was totally a mess. Cars honking, ballet service was not organised at all. Never again frankly. Avoid this hotel by all means

Service staff was really good. Rooms were good value for money. Housekeeping was very attentive

I had trouble whilst checking in - nobody took responsibility for helping me bring my bags up to my room. They kept ping-ponging me to different people. I was in a hurry so just took the bags myself and went up. Also in the shower - although completely functional - one of the knobs was broken and one of the shower gel dispensers had a broken top.

This was my third visit to Abu Dhabi, and unfortunately my stay at Novotel Abu Dhabi Al Bustan fell well below expectations. While the lobby is modern and the breakfast was good, the hotel’s location is not ideal, with very little nearby compared to other areas I’ve stayed in previously. Upon arrival, the hot water in my room was not working. An engineer eventually came and fixed it, but the following day the same issue occurred again. Despite calling housekeeping multiple times, it took over an hour for assistance to arrive, and each time I was told the engineer was “two minutes away.” In the end, I had to change rooms. This delay caused me to miss my planned visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, something I was really looking forward to. As compensation, I was given a suite for the night, but this was of little value as I was checking out the next day. Unfortunately, the suite also had issues: the shower head was broken and would not stay in place, meaning I had to hold it while showering. Throughout the night, the air conditioning made a constant ticking noise, which was extremely disruptive. The problems didn’t end there. When I was asked to switch rooms, I explained that I didn’t have time at that moment and would move later in the evening. However, when I returned that night, I was locked out of the suite because the night staff did not believe I had been authorised the room change by the manager earlier that day — despite my belongings being inside. Service throughout the stay was also very slow. It often took a long time to get hold of a bellboy or any room service assistance. For a two-night stay, I spent an unreasonable amount of time waiting for issues to be addressed. Additionally, the rooms felt dated, there were stains on the bedding upon arrival, and the in-room Wi-Fi was unreliable, often forcing me to go down to the lobby to get a stable connection. Overall, this hotel was simply not worth the hassle for such a short stay.

The staff were clearly inexperienced; they were unable to answer even basic questions, which made the stay frustrating. Calls from the room were never answered, making it difficult to get any assistance. Overall, very disappointing.

What didn’t you like about the property? We booked a wedding hall and a first-class wedding service, yet the experience was extremely disappointing. The bride was not given enough time to check out, and the service was very poor. We were embarrassed in front of our guests due to the bad organization and unprofessional behavior. The bride was not given any extra time in the room despite the fact that she was a bride. Instead, she was disturbed with repeated phone calls asking her to leave the room. We paid for two nights for three rooms with a total of 9,000 AED, yet we did not receive even the minimum level of respectful treatment or proper service. I would like to sincerely thank Ms. Shaimaa for her warm welcome and kind treatment. She truly tried her best to help us by arranging extra hours for the rooms. Thank you, Shaimaa, and I wish you all the best and every success.

Comfortable yet basic

The staff were very kind, especially the receptionists "Hanecel" and "Amy". They were very supportive, flexible, and helped me resolve an issue related to my reservation. Amy even offered a nice room. I also appreciate the assistance provided by the room-service attendant.

The room felt a bit smaller than expected, and the breakfast selection was limited. I believe there is room for improvement, especially considering the hotel’s rating and the price paid.

Location-wise the hotel was excellent. The staff were helpful.

Rooms probably not for proper families. Reception is very slow to revert to issues. We had problem with the air conditioning and it took a whole day to fix that. We were given another room (an upgrade) but while the room was bigger we (family of four) were given two single twin beds. Families might not be their bread and butter as guests because it totally looked like a corporate hotel catered to "esteemed guests".

It’s located not far from grand mosque in central district. The breakfast was decent enough. Decent enough parking at basement

There is a club at ground floor. Which produced so much noise on weekend that we could hear on 3rd floor Moreover the cleanliness leaves a lot to desire, the dust on trays where tea and kettle were was an obvious proof of that. Staff needs training. Reception staff are young and immature, cannot communicate well. At check in there was a Que of guests and not enough staff. Although enough desks were there. We booked for 4 nights and for some reason only known to staff they activated our keys for one day only. Next day card won’t work at parking and then you reach room and it fails again. They serve alcohol and call themselves halal restaurant. I don’t think I will be staying here again.
