Good location, tasty breakfast, and a very pleasant host.
The B&B could use a bit more attention to cleanliness and breakfast options were a bit limited.

Bod the owner is lovely, he's very attentive. The location is excellent to Powderham castle, 10 min walk. The outlook on the garden was beautiful. The information about places to eat and drink. The breakfast was a nice start to the day.
The bedding had some old stains on. The room hadn't been cleaned, found clothes in the wardrobe, the cafetiere had old coffee in the bottom, couple of dirty towels, the last persons shower gel and shampoo/conditioner in the shower. tea tray basic. Mis mash of bedroom furniture. Very small shower cubical in a cupboard.

Comfortable bed and nice airy room. The proprietor made us feel very welcome and was ver knowledgeable about the area.
No taxi service in local area and had to pay a fortune for a taxi to take us two miles up.the road because they came from Exeter.

Host was very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very good. Bed was very comfortable.
Bedroom was quite dusty. Cups were left, so we only had one cup of tea as milk wasn't replaced either.

Bob is a fantastic host and really accommodating. He made a lovely gluten free vegetarian breakfast and was really welcoming. Beautiful location and really nice room.

A lovely clean, spacious room in the Old Vicarage. Perfect for us as we could walk to my cousin’s house in the village and stroll down the lane to the church for his wedding.
Bob was a perfect host, cooking a lovely breakfast and engaging in interesting conversations if it was conducive. I can recommend the salmon and scrambled egg - a slice of smoked salmon with perfectly prepared egg and various salad leaves and tomato!
A stones throw from Powderham Castle, it’s in a lovely location.
I have never stayed anywhere where the ensuite facilities have a separate loo on one side of the room and the shower on another! Quirky!
The church bell announces every quarter hour as well as each hour, so be aware if you’re a light sleeper!
The floorboards in the loo are very creaky!
The village doesn’t have a pub or shop.

The choice of breakfast was very good. There are a number of very good restaurant in the area.
The squeaky toilet floor.

The breakfast was beautifully presented in a charming dining-room, and both the full English and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon were delicious. There are only two rooms let as B and B and both are very nice. We stayed in our previous room. The bed was comfortable, and the shower very good. Decent coffee - and cafetiere - and tea are provided in the room. An ideal location for a trip to Exeter and surrounding countryside, and of course Powderham Castle is on the doorstep. We look forward to returning.

Nice old style house with parking. Very quiet and a lovely cooked breakfast and fresh fruit available.
Property is quite tucked away and down a one way street so we had difficulty finding it.
Our room was not very spacious.

Beautiful house with a wonderful atmosphere. We loved the breakfast and our host, Bob, was brilliant.
We found the beds a bit narrow but put our singles together and hey presto, all was ok and we slept well.

Beautifully quite and excellent comfortable bed, lovely hosts, the breakfast was lovely, very tasty and beautifully presented. Would recommend this property very highly for a fantastic stay and definitely lives up to the booking .com recommendation and could easily be a 10 on the ratings for the property which is exceptional.
Minor mishap was the breakfast glasses and bowls were slightly dirty, but the rest of plates etc were very clean, easily rectified and everything else was perfect.

The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice, plenty of food and everything was fresh and well laid out.
TV in room didn't have any reption (not a major problemas we listened to radio on phone).

The old house, the excellent breakfast, how clean is all the house. How kind Bob is.
The bedroom and bathroom need a coat of paint, the TV should be bigger, some furniture look very tired and need upholstery, some areas look very untidy.

Beautiful property in a quiet village yet so close to Exeter. Bob was an excellent host and breakfast chef, and the room was both spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We would be very happy to stay here again in future.

The Old Vicarage is set in its own lovely garden. The village is small and charming, in a very nice location. The excellent Micheline Star restaurant. Rodean is located in the village.
There wasn’t anything we actually disliked about the Old Vicarage. Unfortunately, the local post office and pub have closed - a consequence of current times. Hopefully these will be re-established at some point.

Every where was lovely and clean, a comfortable bed, excellent choice of tea's and coffee in the bedroom, the hosts were very welcoming.
We would have preferred a choice of items on the full breakfast. It was very good but some of the family found it a bit too much.

Hots were very friendly, breakfast was freshly cooked and hot. Room was more than adequate with separate toilet and shower room.
Could possibly have been doing with a coat of paint to freshen the room up
