Arenal Oasis Eco Lodge & Wildlife Refuge

The lodge is in the rainforest itself and has a trail on the grounds- many outsiders and groups came for the night trail where you can find examples of nocturnal life (Of course, with the help of the tour guide, who is trained to spot them while we just looked blankly at leaves:)) . Breakfast served on the terrace with birds lurred to fruits- the only time in Costa Rica where I saw so many colourful birds- hence, many bir watchers with massive cameras are also there. Overall, this was a magical place right in the heart of the rainforest. Surprisingly, a big bathroom with good water/ bathtub.

Set in nature. Great restaurant and wildlife including the butterfly canopy.

It rained a lot everyday - this is obviously outside the control of the lodge but it impacted our experience and couldn’t dry anything

Perfect quiet stay in a lovely natural environment. Waking up with the sound of the birds and watching them feed on fruit during a very tasty breakfast is the perfect start of your day. The hot chocolate during the breakfast is definitely worth mentioning. Walking the trail of the lodge in the early morning and in the evening made sure we saw many animals (birds, frogs, snakes, lizards, butterflies, a sloth, etc.). The butterfly dome is also amazing with a lot of different species of butterflies. The staff, both at the reception as in the restaurant, we're always very friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant twice and it was very good. We will definitely come here again if we're visiting Costa Rica!

Nothing bad abd understandable because the lodge is located in nature and it was the raimy season but it was hard to dry anything due to the humidity in the room.

Being surrounded by so much green! Excellent restaurant and the great Frog Tour at night, both right there. The Butterfly Dome a pleasant few minutes walk away from the restaurant.
