Amazing! Best place to chillax, recharge and observe the paragliders in the sky ;-)

The hosts are amazingly friendly and have a tremendously sense of humour. They immediately feel the room and adapt towards that. I booked I think one of the best front row rooms and I felt at home at the moment of arrival. The breakfast was freshly made and healthy. The purpose of my stay was working remotely and recharging from the long trip and work on my tan ;-). The fresh smell of the jungle, the breathtaking views, the hummingbirds and the monkey's greeting us was the icing on the cake. The social interaction with the other guest; the hosts who give their utmost to give the guest the best homey feeling ever is beyond expectations.

Everything was absolutely perfect, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

We initially planned to stay in Rio for just 3 days, but this place was so amazing that we felt right at home and had to extend our stay! Mauricio and Stuart are truly wonderful hosts. This isn’t just a hotel, it feels like visiting your best friends’ home in Rio. Every morning, the breakfast they prepared was incredible (we still miss those homemade cakes!). The house is nestled in the heart of nature, yet just a 15-minute drive from the city. If you want a peaceful, stylish, and warm Rio experience, this is the perfect spot! Their tips about the city made our explorations even more enjoyable. They also offered early check-in and late check-out according to our flights, which was such a convenience. We can’t wait to visit Mauricio and Stuart and their amazing home again. Thank you for everything! Our vacation with you was filled with unforgettable memories. 💛

Amazing stay in this green paradise in Rio!

We really felt like home at the beautiful place of Mauricio & Stuart! They are the best hosts, super warm en friendly and they gave us a lot of information about Rio. The place is in the green area of Rio which is great after a day in the buzzy city. Our room was super comfi and great views on the hill and sea views.

Nice variety and great selection and taste The location is perfectly situated for access to the beach and forest and other facilities Pool facility was great Room was very comfortable, clean, neat and tidy Mauricio and Stuart were very friendly and hospitable. They gave us excellent advice on places to visit, things to do and the best options for transport.

Nice relaxing stay close with spacious rooms

We really liked our stay here. The room and bathroom are spacious and very comfortable. The view is beautiful and the breakfast is good. The location is very relaxed and a bit away from the big attractions, so you can come to rest. Advice for visitors: The view from Pedra Bonita (which is close to the hotel) is really magnificent.

No complains at all, only remarks for future guests: - One of the reasons we choose this hotel is, because of the parking space for the car. You have to make sure to write the hotel after booking and ask for a reserved space, because there are only one or two spaces available. And beware, it is a very narrow and steep parking space, so not the easiest to park at all. - the owners have a couple of dogs that walk around the house. We really liked that, they were kind! Just keep it in mind in case you are allergic or don’t like it. - at breakfast it feels as if you are a guest in someone’s house, rather than in a hotel. We liked that feeling and the conversations, but you might have to get used to it.

Stuart and Maurizio are exceptional hosts and great company. Knowledgeable, generous with their time and keen to ensure all guests get the most out of Rio. The breakfasts are tremendous with fresh and different things to try each day. The location is breathtaking, halfway up a mountain in the jungle with views out to sea.

Mauricio amd stuart are very attentive to their guests, all great advises and tips were very valuable. This is the place to return! Just note travelling in crowded Rio takes 30 to 45min to any sightseings however was wortwhile! I 100% recommend this place! Thank you stuart and mauricio, awesome experience

Superb

Mauricio and Stuart were great hosts! We loved our long conversations at breakfast and in the evening. The four dogs were a fantastic company too. Especially Frieda and Rocco. We loved the property and the environment (humming birds in front of you) and the scenery from the balcony. Easy to reach by taxi or Uber.

The price was a bit high but it was consistent for this period of the year (Carnival) so no regrets.

Tropical paradise in Rio de Janeiro.

Mauricio and Stuart's attention is top notch. They are really welcoming and funny! Also the rooms are very comfy and clean.

Everything was great. that being said, I have 2 minor recommendations: 1) maybe consider installing curtains that block natural light from entering the rooms. 2) the pool area may need more shade: a few beach umbrellas would do the trick.

Great hosts, relaxed vibe, perfect location.

I can't recommend Casa Verde enough. Amazing views across the forest to the beach, stylish rooms, perfect location and super tasty breakfasts all made for a great stay. But it was the hosts - Stuart and Mauricio - that made this a holiday to remember. Friendly, relaxed and fun, they helped to organise tours and direct me to many of the hidden gems of Rio. Highly recommended.

Making your holiday to remember

Welcoming accommodating nothing was to much bother. Even when we got lost and called later in the evening to ask for . Call was answered straight away. Great holiday great company so lovely to meet such lovely interesting people..

There was NOTHING about the place that We did NOT like. we meet lovely locals along with the hosts who made make the trip so memorable. Would we maybe have liked to stay in Copacobana., Yes but we would have missed out on so much more. Do we hope to stay with hosts again definite YES. I

We loved everything about this place; gorgeous view, delicious breakfast with homemade cakes and the room was very clean and the bed very comfy. Mauricio and Stuart are perfect hosts, so nice and helpful. They gave us lots of information where to go to and where to eat. Loved the 5 dogs, each with its own character. It felt like home away from home!

Loved staying here, wish we'd had more time! It's a beautiful house and the hosts are so welcoming and friendly (and the dogs too). The view from the room at the front was amazing; you can see rainforest and the sea! Really enjoyed the breakfast too - a lot of choice and good quality. Highly recommended!

I wish Mauricio and Stewart would own every single hotel, motel, bed & breakfast and Airbnb in the city. Their hospitality is warm, accommodating and humorous to boot. The location is unparalleled: you are nestled in the world's biggest urban forest and close to the delicious Sao Conrado beach.

Excellent hospitality and relaxing atmosphere

A highlight of our time in Rio. Stuart and Mauricio were not only exceptional hosts but lovely company. We had a great time getting to know them. The property is beautiful and well-cared for, and the location is perfect. Close to the action of the beach but far-enough removed to feel like you are staying in the jungle. We also have to mention Mauricio’s delicious breakfast cakes… yum! If we return to Rio, we will absolutely stay here again. Thank you for your excellent hospitality, Stuart and Mauricio!

Very happy in casa verde

It was marvellous! We felt so relaxed in casa verde everytime we came back from our tours. Surrounded by nature, lying in the hammock we even saw monkeys and lots of birds from the balcony. But the best of staying in casa verde are Stewart and Maurizio the hosts. The are so friendly and interesting people, who gave us much Mode than very good tips what to do!

The house and the rooms are awesome. The hosts Stuart and Mauricio are so nice and lovely. We really enjoyed the perfekt breakfast with them together with nice and long conversations. We also loved the 5 little dogs.

Heerlijk verblijf

Het heerlijke kingsize bed en de gastheren die ons elke dag van opties voorzagen over wat te doen.

De vele trappen die je omhoog moet voordat je in je kamer bent. De redelijk drukke weg voor het huis. Het is echt het huis van de gastheren waar je steeds doorheen loopt. Dus steeds een praatje maken als je terugkomt of weggaat. Dat is soms leuk en soms heb je daar geen zin in. We konden de huurauto niet op het terrein parkeren omdat de oprit te steil was. De huurauto had te weinig vermogen.

Une maison de paradis

Localisation magnifique dans la forêt, randonnées juste à côté de la maison. La literie est ultra confortable. Les hôtes sont adorables. Je recommande ! C’est un peu loin du centre de Rio (il faut compter une dizaine d’euros - 70 reals) pour un trajet en uber jusqu’au centre. Mais si vous souhaitez du calme pas loin de la ville, c’est idéal. Le petit déjeuner est excellent, préparé maison, avec option vegan.

-idyllische Lage abseits der Stadt mit atemberaubenden Blick in den Jungel -geräumige Zimmer und Einrichtung -absolut freundliche & zuvorkommende Gastgeber, die einem dem Aufenthalt mit einem köstlichen Frühstück und tollen Tipps verschönern !!!

-die Lage macht Uber-Fahrten (vor allem Richtung Regenwald) ab und zu etwas schwer aber am Ende kamen wir immer ans Ziel :)

Una belleza.

Me encanto la ubicación lejos del centro y más rodeado de naturaleza. En general no hay problema en pedir Uber o hacer combinaciones metro-uber. La hospitalidad de Mauricio y Stewart es insuperable. Los desayunos muy ricos, variados y preparados por ellos. Los perritos que tienen son un amor. Me encantó que todo sea amplio y ordenado. El entorno le hace honor a su nombre: casa verde.
