Practical stay and good value for money!

Nice pool, simple restaurant, and central location in Kuta. Close to the beach and several restaurants, grocery stores, and more, closeby!

It took a few room changes to get to my last room, which I really liked. Previously, the bathroom had mold but in the end, I felt very cozy in my last room and enjoyed my stay at Sorga!

Really enjoyed our stay

The hotels outside was beautiful, location was good , WiFi was good, pool was big and maintained well, hotel was quiet which was nice considering so close to the centre. Was excellent value for money so can’t really complain would recommend upgrading to a room with AC as we just had a fan and this was abit hot but our own fault really.

Shower was cold but this was refreshing, no bum gun but toilet paper and bin was provided.

A lovely historic haven nestled away from the bustle of a modern main road.

The property itself is simply stunning! The foliage, the fountains, the infinity style pool all created a very enchanting and secluded paradise, away from the main street. There’s a temple in the central courtyard, which connects to the restaurant, which then connects to the pool area and front desk. In Balinese tradition, the restaurant and front desk is very open and outside, yet with roof covering, which give a breezy flow to the layout. I loved the room I shared with my sister and the view of the courtyard. I admit that I was concerned that the a/c wouldn’t be enough to balance the humidity of the day, but I turned out just fine. The balcony was a favorite of mine, as it made morning meditations, journaling and night-gazing easy. Every breakfast was absolutely delicious, and included in the reservation - be sure to select that option when booking, it’s so worth it! I had dinner there once or twice during my 5-day stay and that was just as delicious. Plus the hotel is located near a myriad of restaurants, so there is no shortage of options by any means. The neighborhood itself just felt incredibly safe, such is Bali, and easy to navigate. Kuta Beach was just a 10-minute walk away, with Beachwalk Mall coming up before getting to the beach; or you can walk through the mall to get to the beach; again, options! If malls aren’t your thing, there are a plethora of shops and stalls between the hotel and beach, and between the hotel and main road. Great, great place to stay. I’d stay again, and for much longer the next time I’m in Kuta.

The water pressure wasn’t the strongest, yet the water temperature was absolutely ideal, so no real complaint about it. Be sure to leave your key at the front desk when leaving if you want your room cleaned; and also be sure to make a verbal request so it’s clear. Again, not a complaint but something to be mindful of. The WiFi tends to go in and out, depending on where you are on the property and which router you’re connected to - there one for the room, one for the garden/restaurant, one for the pool, etc. Again, no major issues, but things to note.

The friendly staff, the small swimming pool. Traditional architecture, garden and bedroom furniture. The quiet and beautiful surroundings are very good for relaxation. Easy access to shops and restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk.

No access to local TV stations. No power point other than the only one in the bathroom for charging a mobile phone.

Was given two small single beds room that feet stuck out from as tall when asked for a double even though many rooms were empty. Had to ask for a towel as none, given 1 for 2 days. WiFi wasn't great in block with rooms beginning with 2 good in some others. Shower fitting v low - only height for a child and bath and silicone discoloured / stained. No air con

Quiet place and close to the beach and mall area. Room was good and comfortable and staff super friendly and helpful. Nice pool and also has a good Restaurant.

Charming, relaxed and quiet hotel

It is set in a nice garden and has a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast pancakes are among the best we had in 3 weeks of Indonesia.

In one of the two rooms, the bathroom smelled a bit of sewage, the old pipes probably need a bit of attendance.

Worst place I’ve ever stayed

Pool was great

VERY old and in need of a revamp. Really dirty, bathroom covered in mould (know a lot of places have some mould but this was next-level), one electricity socket in the room which was hanging out the wall on wires, one in the bathroom which sparked and sizzled if you tried to use it, fan was very noisy and wobbly and gave the impression it might have flung off at any time. A few of the staff were friendly, others massively disinterested and unhelpful.

The staff was great, their restaurant was great, had a fantastic location close to the beach. It was the perfect place for me to land for my first 2 weeks in Bali. I miss the place already.

Great little hidden gem. A few bumps and scrapes but great value for money and clean as most hotels. Better value than 5 star and a more intimate experience. Don't expect shiny new surfaces. It's Bali.

Bathroom could do with a bit of TLC but nothing too bad. Had worse in a far more expensive hotels with big brand names and price tags.

I liked the whole athmosphere, the traditional style, the pool is super, the breakfasts, the staff is super nice and it is in a good place. I would recommend staying here, it deffenetly worth the price.

I didnt like that the airconditioning was dirty and we got a bit sick from it so we didnt turn it on, so it was a bit warm at night. The rooms were clean but a bit rusty and dark, but other than the rooms it has acharm. No fridge, some bugs, but pretty garden.

A place where they want you in and out quickly and not to hang around in the garden or restaurant area. The dodgy walk back there at night - pitch black and alone and twice I had bike drivers follow and keep following me. Some of the female staff seemed to have issues with me extending and keeping my luggage there and even me asking to order food at lunch. Like I was causing problems for being there and asking.

WiFi is off and on the whole time very frustrating - Not fit for purpose . Toilet horrible smells , worse than the toilet @ Everest Base Camp in Nepal . Daily towels unfit for purpose . Outside hotel - lots of hassle from scummy men on motorcycles asking you non stop if you want a taxi whenever you leave hotel .
