Château Le Boisrenault

The owners and staff are super nice people , they let you go anywhere on the property as they have open door policy which was great! They let us choose our room as it was off season and we really enjoyed their hospitality and chill approach!

Charming old Chateau typically in need of some repairs but that’s the whole rustic charm of the place, fantastic place to stay and host and staff were brilliant, I’d highly recommend, we will stay again

Character and very dog friendly. Lovely friendly staff - we were well looked after

The positive reviews are right - this is an amazing building in a great location. The decor is charismatic, and the space generous. Colas is a most friendly and responsive host, and it feels like a real passion for him. This place is probably best enjoyed in summer, when lots of other guests are present, when I'm sure its unique features and no doubt beautiful grounds really stand out.

Unfortunately, we arrived on a cold and very wet autumn evening. Colas had let us know earlier in the day, very nicely, that he wouldn't be there, so we entered an empty and a bit dark chateau entirely by ourselves that wasn't the warm and convivial atmosphere we were hoping for. We had to leave early before breakfast was available at 0830. It's no-one's fault, but it is a reminder that this place is probably best enjoyed in summer, perhaps for a wedding, and not on a dark, wet, raining evening when no-one else is there and it's dark and cold :-(
