Lovely few days in a comfortable, well kept property

The property was extremely comfortable and well kept. The breakfast system on the terrace was absolutely lovely and the staff were excellent.

The location of the property is nice as you’re out of town near many quiet swimming spots however it’s just a touch too far from restaurants as well as the best swimming spots for a longer stay. For a few days, it’s great.

The breakfast was amazing, the facilities in perfect condition and the bed very confortable. Good value for money for the basement room for high season (July, August)

It was a perfect and peaceful location. Lots of attention to details.

The grounds were perfectly manicured and the pool area was especially beautiful with a view to the Aegean Sea. The staff were friendly and even provided transport from the ferry.

Only negative was my AC was broken but a fan was provided. I was in a basement room so I spent little time there.

This place was a little slice of heaven! It was so relaxing and peaceful and the staff were just excellent! Every need was catered for and they were all so friendly and polite. The property was exceptional and the location just right for easy access to the village, restaurants, bars and beaches.

We loved Portes Houses and would love to come back and stay in a non-basement room!

The property is gorgeous. We enjoyed a lot the pool area, the garden and the food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We appriciated and the pick-up and drop-off at the port. It is also impeccably clean and ran very smoothly by the owners and staff constantly present to help. Location was ideal halfway between the center and the best beaches.

Our basement room lacked soundproofing against neighbors (opening of doors, bathroom sounds, babies crying) which limitied our ability to fully relax. They are also a bit dark.

Brilliant few days in Portes Houses

The staff are so friendly, welcoming and made our stay extra special. The hotel grounds are beautiful and its so calm and relaxing. We stayed just before the main season starts so the hotel wasn't fully occupied but even if it was it would still feel peaceful. A lovely breakfast was served each morning on the terrace. Its only a short walk to the beaches and the main town. Highly reccomend if you are visiting Koufonissi to stay here.

Peaceful spot on a beautiful island

The Service was amazing, very helpful and friendly. A free transfer was arranged to and from the port and the breakfast was brought to the room. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. The entire hotel was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Everyone was super child friendly. Free water was offered everyday and the location is amazing for getting to the beaches and the city. We would be happy to come back.

Exceptional

It is very modern, nicely decorated, near popular beaches, it offers rich breakfast and you also have the option to lie by the pool. In addition the property offers free transfer from and to the port. Nicole at the reception is extremely polite and always willing to give you information about everything. A real gem to the rest of Portes Houses facilities!

Great rooms & private breakfast

Quaint little studios that are well designed, each with a private terrace. Comfortable beds and nice big bathroom plus kitchenette. Breakfast is served on your private terrace which is a lovely touch. Quiet location just off the main route through the island.

Beautiful Design in a Lovely Setting

The hotel is beautifully designed, particularly around the pool. Breakfast is generous and tasty. Views are lovely and it’s nicely situated between the town and the main beaches. Our ferry was cancelled due to the weather and everyone was very helpful.

We had a basement room, but it was noisy when the staff were coming and going from the kitchen. You do have to be prepared to walk 15 mins everywhere from the hotel though, and it’s quite dark on the road at night, which those travelling alone may not feel comfortable about. Due to the wind the umbrellas are understandably nailed into the ground, so it’s hard to sit in the shade in the afternoon as the angle of the sun / design of the pool deck means it’s impossible to move the beds into the shade.

Everything was top notch, from the customer service to the room's total hygene. The yard was really nice and clean, the staff was very polite and helpful and in the room you really felt at home. I totaly recommend Portes houses to everyone who is looking for something beautiful, comfortable and peaceful.
