Truly a 10/10 stay, highly recommended!

I had the most incredible stay in Koufonisia and this hotel truly made the trip unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding — warm, genuine, and always attentive without ever being intrusive. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations for beaches, restaurants, and hidden gems around the island. The rooms were spotless, stylish, and perfectly comfortable, with thoughtful details that made all the difference. Waking up to that breathtaking view every morning was pure magic. The location couldn’t be better — quiet and relaxing, yet just a short walk from the village, the harbor, and some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Koufonisia itself is paradise, but staying here elevated the whole experience. It’s one of those rare places where you immediately know you’ll want to come back — and I definitely will. Truly a 10/10 stay, highly recommended!

Exceptional

Mystic Villas is a quick 10 minute walk to the town and main beaches. It is perched high on a hill overlooking nearby Keros with Amorgos in the distance. The view from our private terrace was absolutely breathtaking. We sat there for hours staring at the uninterrupted views of the Aegean. Our villa was spacious, super clean, beautifully styled in a minimalistic way, well appointed and extremely comfortable. Our hosts Chryssa and Michalis are lovely people, very attentive, helpful and genuinely care for their guests. We enjoyed walking everywhere but there are options in the town to rent bikes, scooters, etc. Koufinisi is a gem of an island and staying at Mystic Villas was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back.

An absolutely magnificent view! The house is beautiful, well designed and equipped. The place is perfect, slightly set back to be quiet and enjoy nature while being very close to the city center and the beaches. A warm welcome from Chryssa and Michalis who are wonderful hosts: present if necessary, they are great listeners and will be able to make suggestions to make your stay unforgettable. A beautiful meeting!

Staying at Mystic Villas made a magical island even more enjoyable!

It was modern, minimalistic but very spacious for 5 people. Very clean and easy to maintain. The outdoor area was like an extended living room, and where we spent most of our socialising time. Chryssa and Mihali our hosts were extremely hospitable, making sure every day that we had everything we needed. This was perfect Greek hospitality, being treated like you were family. They always made sure we had enough basic provisions, eg bottled water, towels. The room was cleaned daily and kept spotless.

Mystic Villas is a brandnew perfectly designed villa with a very nice private pool and a wonderful terrasse with a breathtaking view. The ownwers are adorable and helped us with everything!! Perfect boot rental, ebike rental, restaurants and transport.

If you are searching to experience the greek hospitality, the owners of mystic villas are the definition of it. Whatever we needed or asked, Chrysa and Michalis did everything to please us. The room reached more than our expectations ( the most amazing view included). All beaches and the center of the island could be reached by foot but there is also the option of ebikes rental. Overall we had a wonderful time at mystic villas and it is highly recommended to visit it!

Barefoot luxury hidden gem!

We loved how rustic yet luxurious in style Mystic Villas was! It reminded me a little of my last stay at Six Senses. Mystic Villas is set out in a similar way. Everything was very simple yet elegant, beautifully organised and accessorised. Very comfortable and perfectly located. We enjoyed short walks (7-10 mins) to all of the best swimming bays, restaurants and beaches, which meant we didn’t need to rent a car. The owner (Michalis) and his wife were incredible hosts, they were always available whenever we needed them and very friendly. They made us feel very welcome. They gave us great restaurant recommendations and tips on what to see and do during our stay. I highly recommend Mystic for group stays, (there are currently three operational self contained villas which sleep anywhere between 2-10 people). The rooms are spacious and the sofas can expand to accommodate more guests on demand. It would be great to celebrate a special occasion here with friends and rent the entire place next time. The private swimming pools are stunning and perfect for late night romantic swims with your partner. The sweeping views and the sound of running goat bells were very meditative and made us feel one with nature. It was very easy to get a good nights sleep in here too as the windows are fitted with black out blinds. This establishment is suitable for couples, families and friends, all of the villas are very well spaced out so you can maintain privacy. We are looking forward to returning next year with a group next time so that we can explore this beautiful part of Greece again. The swimming in the crystal blue waters was a highlight and even after visiting 75+ countries I can honestly say that this is certainly one of top destinations that I have visited.

hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem traumhaften Ferienhaus! 🏡✨ Das Haus ist äußerst liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr bequem – man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Besonders genossen haben wir die Terrasse mit dem fantastischen Blick aufs Meer. Ein Spaziergang ins Dorf dauert nur etwa 10 Minuten und ist sehr schön. Die Gastgeber Chryssa und Michalis sind einfach großartig: herzlich, aufmerksam und voller guter Tipps für die Insel. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen, und auch beim Check-out haben sie uns den Abschied so angenehm wie möglich gemacht – wir konnten die letzten Stunden noch entspannt am Strand verbringen, bevor die Fähre ging. Vielen Dank für diese unvergesslichen Tage – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
