The room and the hotel was very good. The facilities are good. We enjoyed the breakfast, and one dinner we had there. Live music on the beach front also very nice.
Our room was at the far end of the property so the loud music from the adjacent property kept us awake until early morning on the Saturday night. Very bad!!

The property had it all from the staff being so accommodating friendly and helpful in every way. The bars and resturaunts are amazing with the shish by the beach a highlight. We were able to organise a last minute romantic dinner and the hotel staff and romantic dinner set up crew made it happen despite some obstacles. They were all so friendly and felt safe all the time with security keeping unwanted harassment. It was always so clean and everything was beautiful and modern in our room.
Just the late check in as we had been travelling for 24 hours and just wanted to get to a shower and bed.

My daughters birthday was on the day we checked in and they went out of their way to provide a cake and decorate the room. Was well appreciated and made her feel special. The rooms had all necessary products needed and we were given an adequate supply. Swim towels were freely available. The food was varied and had a lot of options. I liked that water was freely available and everyday we were given 1.5ltrs each in the rooms. We had a late flight and they allowed us to stay until later to use the facilities and shower up before our flight. Meant we could make the most of the day instead of just waiting around. The sunbeds were on a small private area so we weren't harassed by people selling stuff. The nightly entertainment was great
The rooms are in desperate need of a renovation. They are really old. There were wires sticking out from some light fixtures which just made it look bad. We had 2 rooms and one room had a constant damp smell which never went away. Linen was a mixed bag. One room had good linen while the other had linen that was pilling. With a hotel at this price point, that's just not good enough. The beach here is really tide dependent, where it becomes totally inaccessible to walk on during high tide. Very few hotels in Nungwi have an accessible beach during high tide, which is disappointing. No sunset views from this side of Nungwi. Honestly I would rather have stayed longer on the east side of the island, which offer much better hotels at the same price as there was nothing really great at this hotel and it was our most expensive stay during our 2 weeks in Zanzibar. There were no coordinated activities even though they advertise that there is. Pool was small but nice enough. No kids club or other fun activities for the kids. It was really windy when we were there so most water activities were canceled. The resort just does not feel luxurious and not worth the price. Frankly I could not see the allure of Nungwi on the whole, if you must go, stay for max 2 nights.
