Anatelein Cave Hotel

Cannot recommend this hotel enough! I think booking.com massively underrepresents how good this place is. We had an incredible stay, this place is set beautifully amongst the fairy chimneys. the staff are so welcoming, accommodating, and generous. They helped me set up for my friends 30th birthday dinner personally blowing up balloons, arranging a stunning table scape, cake, flowers, and even a photographer! They also threw in some additions like glasses of wine for us to celebrate. We were a little disappointed as some other friends had to cancel the trip last minute but the staff honestly made it a such a lovely memorable time and even better than we hoped for. We booked the suite room which was of the best curated rooms I’ve stayed in, it’s so worth it! There was also a whole balcony with an amazing view that was not on the room photos and was absolutely our favourite part (photo included). I don’t write reviews often but this hotel is absolutely worth it!

Nous avons été absolument charmés par cet hôtel troglodyte. La propreté est irréprochable et la décoration est magnifique, fidèle aux photos. L'emplacement est idéal car très proche du centre, mais ce qui vous coupe vraiment le souffle, c'est de voir le ciel rempli de montgolfières juste à côté de l'hôtel au petit matin. Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement le personnel pour leur sourire constant et pour nous avoir aidés à organiser toutes nos excursions de manière si efficace. Nous reviendrons à coup sûr.

Todo impecable. Las habitaciones son tal cual se ven en las fotos: limpias, bonitas y decoradas con mucho gusto. Está muy cerca del centro y la estampa de los globos por la mañana alrededor del hotel es impresionante. El personal es súper amable y nos facilitó la organización de los tours. ¡Un diez!

It was cave-like and the restaurant attached to it had lovely outdoor views of Uchisar Castle and surrounds. The breakfast was typical Turkish and very good.

The toilet seat was broken, clearly had been for awhile, but they were ignoring it. The shower cubicle smelt musty, which meant the bathroom itself had a permanent musty smell. The shower had an impressive set up of water jets, overhead dumper and a usual shower head, but only the usual head was working EXCEPT as soon as you turned it on, the shower head would fell off because where it attached to the slider was broken, and after one too many “fallings off” the shower head broke off. They did replace it immediately, however not the attachment which meant it continued to fall off every time water went through it. Ours was a king bed set-up, which in fact was just two single beds pushed together, each bed made up as a single bed, and we were only given ONE single duvet!! Which we spread across us to cover our torso’s and used the bedspread to cover our feet. For three nights accommodation we were given 1.5 toilet rolls and only 2 shower gels, which the latter appeared to be watered down, so as soon as you tipped the bottle to pour out the contents, it flowed everywhere but your hand! We asked for more of both, toilet paper not a problem but shower gels we were given shampoo (we coped!). We ate one evening meal in their restaurant (Sunset View) which was the worst meal we have had in our three weeks of travelling Turkey. Hubby ordered his favourite Turkish (testi kebabi) clay pot casserole and it was watery and flavourless, my dish was also bland and tasteless, and even worse all overpriced. This place had been recommended to us and it was a total disappointment.
