Riad Aloes & Spa

Excellent location in a quiet and safe part of the Medina, within walking distance of many attractions. The staff were outstanding, especially Mohamed, who was always friendly, professional, and eager to help. We would also like to thank the two ladies responsible for breakfast and housekeeping, who were incredibly kind, hardworking, and always happy to assist us. The riad was very clean, the Junior Suite was spacious, Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the rooftop and common areas were lovely. We also appreciated the airport transfer arrangement and luggage assistance on arrival.

The pillows and mattress were a little too firm for our preference, and the air conditioning took some time to cool the room on the first night. We would also have appreciated a bidet/shattaf in the bathroom, and in our room the wardrobe was located inside the bathroom

We stayed in Hibiscus room on ground floor . Breakfast was very fresh good local produce and served really well , fruit , yoghurt , bread , jam , spread, cheese .A joy option each day like pancakes etc Also a cake or cookie . Lovely large bath towels .Your room was made up when you had breakfast .Breakfast was 8am-11am . Tea or coffee could be purchased throughout day with biscuits . Mohammad and other staff were all exceptional and made you feel very safe . Riad was so beautifully quiet . Pool was freezing but we dipped anyway . Right in centre of medina , fabulous location .we had the set dinner and this was great and good price . We also had a Hammam which was amazing . Great Riad would recommend and use again .

We would have loved a kettle or access to one . This Riad does not serve alcohol . Great if plunge pool was heated ! Otherwise everything was fabulous .

Riad is a paradise in the heart of busy and noisy Marrakesh. When you enter it you immediately find yourself in the fairytale. All of it was excellent: welcome tea with delicious biscuits, beautifully decorated rooms, amazing plants in the lobby, exotic aroma within the riad, very pleasant breakfast, kindness of both Mohameds

Absolutely nothing to mention

The staff were helpful. The receptionist organized a person to carry my suitcase through the Medina to the Koutoubia to catch a cab. There are no cars allowed which I didn’t know. It doesn’t say that on the website.

Even though the room was not small, it was rather dark. It definitely has seen better days. It really wasn’t the kind of Riad I had expected it to be. It was located in a back alley, very narrow and filthy. The shower of the bathroom was old and not very clean. The tiles looked crabby. Also they don’t give you a key, just a padlock for the room door. Imagine there is a fire. The steps are also very steep and one could slip easily.
