Art Hotel Ristorante Posta Al Lago

We loved this property, there was lots of space in our apartment we had a spare bedroom, eat in kitchen, an entry space and a beautiful balcony right alongside lake Maggiore, no privacy issues. Downstairs we had direct access to the lake, sun lounges and our own private swimming spot. Staff went out of their way to explain everything in English and couldn’t do enough to help us in every way.

The views at the property are sensational. Even though it is right on the road, the rooms face the lake, and it was wonderful to sit out on the balcony and take in the water and the mountains. It was great to be able to swim from the dock too. Air-conditioning worked well enough in the middle of the heat wave. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Everything was clean. We also had a lovely dinner in the restaurant right on the water. Overall, I would recommend this intimate boutique hotel.

We pre-paid for a suite with a separate sitting room, but long after we settled in, I realized that we had been given a double room only without a sofa, second room, or seating area. It was too late to switch or complain. So we paid for a room that we did not get. I loved that you could swim from the property, though the descent into the lake from the ladders can be treacherous.

Schönes Zimmer mit Ausblick, gute Lage

Der Film auf der Website ist sehr schön, die Realität leider nicht, da seit dem Film offenbar ein paar Jahre vergangen sind. Es hat viele unschöne unaufgeräumte und etwas vergammelte Ecken im Hotel, vernachlässigtes Ambiente. Im Restaurant möchte man nicht an ein Gestell mit alten gruusigen Hundenäpfen sehen, vergammelte Sonnenschirme, verstaubte Ecken voller Spinnweben etc. Schade ums schöne Hotel. Trotz drei Sternen sollte es schöner hergerichtet sein. Die Lobby ist völlig überladen und verstellt, das Sofa in der Lobby sollte kein Kissenlager sein…
