We stayed for the Sandown races and it was only a 15 minute taxi ride away. Very clean hotel and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice beer garden for drinks in a quiet suburban area but only 20 minutes walk from Walton and the train station. Good breakfast!

Ideally placed, lots of parking, smart hotel.

Very very small portion sizes for the main courses, none of us are overweight and after two courses we went to Tesco for more food! The vegan salad with feta was about 8cm in diameter, took about 2 mins to eat! Fortunately breakfast was a good size.

.Had breakfast both mornings. The cooked breakfast for my husband was plentiful and good. Clean white bedding. Good seating outside for a drink of an evening.

Room 114 was a tiny, poky dark box room with a very small window that hardly opened. The window area was obstructed by a large, covered, boxed-off area that took up a quarter of the room. Upholstery and carpet was tired and grubby. The bathroom area needed a thorough clean, washbasin and shower area. My sourdough was rock hard for the poached eggs/avocado, and the porridge was a tasteless, watery gruel. The waiter agreed it was unsatisfactory and replaced it with cereal.
