Having visited Paris numerous times we had never previously stayed in the Montparnasse area. We were very pleasantly surprised how nice and safe the district where Hotel Denfert is. It is on a lovely leafy street which has several Boulangeries, Cafés, Brasseries etc. Everything we wanted was all just 2 or 3 minutes from the hotel.
The hotel itself had a delightful secluded garden terrace. Our room could've been a little larger, and certainly needed some shelf storage in the bathroom. But it was all very comfortable and clean with very helpful staff.
The TV could not connect to the wifi, and there was no fridge in our room.

Very clean room, they were tiding even on Sunday! The location is near city's metro and with many shops around. The stuff was polite and helpful. The noise some people mention is only on Saturday until midnight, so not such a problem
A little fridge might be useful especially in summer days.

Is a nice Hotel!
The staff is great, very friendly and helpful, they gave us an early check in, the area is cool, near and convenient for all the tourist staff, safe, the cat is cute!
The hotel should have irons, 😅 even like that they got one for us, (very appreciated).

The location was great, and they had a wonderful backyard Terrace
The room was hot and there was no fan or AC. And the bathroom was kind of old and rundown… But our friends were staying downstairs and they had a brand new lovely bathroom… So maybe they’re being renovated
