went to the Royal for Breakfast

in the book in the room it said you had a car park pass but this was not mentioned in the checking in details so I had already paid for the parking

A very unusual suite with many high-tech gadgets, comfortable with a great view and right in the centre of town. Plenty of storage space and comfortable super king size bed.

We arrived on a very hot day and the room was like an oven. Would have happily swapped all the high-tech for an electric fan. Also the high-tech is all very clever, but would question its appropriateness for short stay visitors. It can be quite difficult to get some things the way you want. Parking (free) is 3 mins walk away.

Stunning room which was immaculate and very comfortable and clean . A luxury suite with high end tech and furnishings.

We stayed for 2 nights and the suite has a hot tub. There were only 2 bath towels, 1 each for 2 nights and to use the hot tub. I do feel that for 2 nights 2 bath towels each should have been provided and perhaps 2 for the hot tub as well. I know that a refresh of the room is offered if you let the owners know by 10.30, but we didn’t want to impose or be disturbed. I am lucky enough to have stayed in many luxurious properties all over the world, but just found the lack of towels and having to dry them to use the second day for a shower was not a 5 star experience. Also, for 2 nights one pack of biscuits each and one bottle of water between the two of us for 2 days seemed very mean - there should be be at least 2 packets of biscuits for 2 days and 2 bottles of water. The offering was less than a Premier Inn experience. I also feel for a luxury establishment where it’s known most people are celebrating something a bottle of Prosecco and a couple of chocolates from the fabulous chocolate shop around the corner would be a really nice touch .
