The property is a 10 minute walk from Hakone Yumoto station. The door opened with a code so access was very easy. The beds downstairs are traditional tatami beds with futon mattresses. We didn't get to spend much time in the property as we climbed Mount Fuji and spent a night in a mountain hut. The air conditioning was good and all facilities in the property were good. We would like to have spent more time in the area but we had already booked to go to Tokyo.

Our price bracket
The second bedroom was an attic area and there were 2 very steep flights of stairs , not suitable for older people . We had to dress downstairs as we couldn’t stand up in attic area to dress . We also needed to use extra futon mattress to be comfortable. The road from town was difficult for suitcases and it would have been nice to have some basic starter provisions
