Check in was seemless, staff friendly, room clean and well laid out.
Drains were smelly.

Cosy room and nice and quiet, friendly staff. Decent location for visiting student son living near the Gloucester Rd.
Very busy on match day for Bristol Rovers, but parking afterwards was fine.

Location
It was totally overpriced for what you get. The rooms are tired and grubby. Walking to the room I knew I was in trouble when the carpets are grim. The staff, and this is a criticism of management not them, are clueless when it came to the hotel side. Felt very much like a pub and the hotel is an annoying bolt on.

Room was small.

Amazing value for what we paid, toiletries like in really posh hotels, nearby bus stop to get to the city centre

We only stayed one night and we stayed in one of the rooms located outside to the rear of the property. It was a good sized room and was clean, well presented/ modern and had a fridge with bottle of cold water. If I need to stay in a hotel in the area again, I would definitely rebook the Wellington.
Breakfast was good and produce was good quality - if we were staying more than one night it would have been good to have some interesting healthier options with low carbs, but for one night what we did have was very nice.

Everything I needed was provided. Comfortable room with good facilities. Comfy bed and great shower. Pub downstairs for food and drinks was handy.

I have stayed here before. Perfect location for us near family. It was super easy to access out of hours and the rooms were great. I could also tell they had made updates in the stairways which improved everything.
Everything was great. We were there over Christmas so had no need for breakfast or any other meals. The outside staircase for out of hours access is only difficult for those with accessibility needs but otherwise great.

The room was prefect! Very clean and Comfortable. Had all the necessary comforts to enjoy our stay. We booked two nights at the Wellington and they cleaned and fill up our teas and coffee on both days. The staff were super friendly and definfinley will be staying there again in the future. Free parking in their car park, which was amazing! We could easily take a bus to the centre of town just opposite the pub.
it was prefect!

Breakfast was good but advertised with a cooked breakfast but on the day only continental breakfast available. The shower wasn’t brilliant.

It was just what I wanted/needed. No fuss. I could just come and go seamlessly during my 2 day stay. I am in Bristol frequently and need a a room where I can just relax and work after a busy day. The room was perfect for me. Great welcoming touches like coffee, biscuits and lovely products.
Just great for me - so I have no issues. Thanks!

Lovely room with nice big bathroom. Staff were very friendly.

We were located in the annexe as I had mentioned my partner's walking difficulties. This had the advantage of being able to park and unload next to the room. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The interior design was good though the room was a little small for the amount of things in there. Buses stopped across the road for journeys to the City Centre and Art Gallery
Nothing specific though I felt the room price was a little high

Breakfast was excellent.
Noise in the evening till 11 o’clock. No wardrobes, draws that were awkward to shut, windows difficult to open and close.

It was a convenient location and had what we needed for a group attending an event - good bar downstairs and food available.
Well appointed rooms and bathroom- with some nice touches - tea, biscuits and good shower products.
The little touches - kettle, special teas, biscuits, shower products.

We love staying in the chalet rooms. Perfect for those with mobility issues. Very private and no disturbance from the pub.
On the Sunday our hostess was quite abrupt telling us that breakfast was not included when it was in fact (this was our second day) when we did get it, it was truly horrible. Hard boiled poached eggs for me and very overdone offerings on the full English. Our room had absolutely no housekeeping on day two so we had wet towels, dirty cups and glasses and no refills in the tea/coffee/milk. When we asked for clean towels we were challenged with “well are you staying another night” which yes, we were but given they hadn’t been changed anyway that should not have mattered. Surely you would be allowed to take a shower on the day you leave!

Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent
One of the reasons for choosing this hotel was Car Parking - this was tiny and we parked on the street.
Shower was in a bath and getting in was difficult for myself as a slightly older guest.

Lovely pub to walk through to our room, location great and walking distance to Gloucester Road pubs
The stairway at the back if you got back after staff went home looked steep, but didn’t effect us as pub was open when we got back to there. Didn’t stay for breakfast as only one member of staff on duty but would have loved to have tried it, maybe next time.

Being on a main road close the hospital and constant sirens as my husband suffers from seizures and so it was difficult

Have stayed at the Wellington before which says it all but everything was once again perfect for our two night stay. A lovely pub/hotel in a nice area just outside Bristol.
We were a bit disappointed with the breakfast, as on previous visits, cereals, friut, yougurt and toast were available self service but this time we only had a choice from a selection of cooked meals, which were however very good.

The room was comfortable and had air conditioning which was much appreciated in the hot weather. Parking on site.
Bathroom door was a little tight as it opened out onto the bed (room4)
Fairly long wait for breakfast on both mornings. Some elements of the breakfast were overcooked?
