A place with history and character.
It met my (solo traveller) needs and I found it easy to relax. I can see how small/family groups would enjoy gathering in one of the gorgeous sitting rooms.
Looking out over the garden and listening to the water feature was a treat, so was the spa bath.
A little odd to meet the host about four days into my stay for the first time, however, messages/queries were quickly responded to and my late arrival/early departure wasn’t an issue.
A minor detail, but some of the furnishings and decorations, like curtains and sheers, were a bit tired and worn; won’t take much to fix.

Not an awful lot if I am honest.
Place smelt damn. Toiletries were half used and hadn't been replaced by the cleaner, kettle was beyond disgraceful and had thick grime and dirt inside it.
