Ridolfi Guest House

Location is great. We walked for about 10 mins with a suitcase from the train station with no problem. You can absolutely walk to the main attractions (10 mins to the Accademia Gallery and more like 20 mins to the Cathedral and Uffizi). The building has a tiny elevator, which is great to get to the 2nd floor (felt more like the 4th due to the massive story heights). The guest house is basically an apartment with several units, some of them have external bathrooms - we got a unit with a bathroom across the corridor, and it was actually great - you don't distrub anyone inside the room while taking shower. There is a fully equipped kitchen to share with other units, and a cute little balcony. The room is rather small but comfy, the electric kettle, tea and coffee inside the room were a nice bonus. The staff is friendly, cleaning is great.

Dear Ridolfi team, please throw one or two electric plug adapters in the rooms, we really depended on that one EU standard socket by the door. Also, a shelf or at least a hook inside the shower cabin would be great - getting stuff from the floor isn't very convenient.

Having an elevator was a great plus

Lights in the stairs didn’t work. We had to use the flashlight on our phone to open the door.

Location was 10 min walk to the centre. It felt secure. The aircon was reasonable.

Shower pressure wasn’t good. No fridge in room. No water provided as complimentary which would have been good in the heat. The elevator can only be accessed with a key which you don’t have when you arrive, so had to carry suitcases up to 2nd floor. Room was very light as curtain was thin and shutters on window wouldn’t fully shut so not great for sleeping.
