Hotel well located in Baden without a human touch

Good location in the middle of the town of Baden. Rooms are good and renovated with modern windows. Bathroom needs some improvements in lighting and shower

Self-service. No human touch. No room service. Automatic light sensors in bathroom. Cannot switch of light during the night. For a self service hotel to expensive. We asked and booked a baby bed for our three months old baby. Delivered the bed without a mattress. After four calls, service people acknowledged that they cannot deliver as requested.

Very poor value for money

The staff were friendly and the room reasonably nice decorated

The room and bathroom smelt. We found out there was renovation work going on. The bath was v slippy, nowhere to hang up wet towels, no air con, winter heavy duvets. The hotel is on a main road so too noisy to leave windows open. The safe didn’t work and v small lifts. Breakfast was ok but some bread, croissants was obviously from the day before as v hard.

The property was located in a secluded area. The cleanliness of the room / hotel was very low. Dated and old. Very very basic. Hostel like. Safety and security was a major concern. Didn’t looks safe at all. In fact while I was sleeping some open the door and walked in on me. Whilst door was locked.

The plug socket in my room was under the bedside table so I had to kneel on the floor in order to see it for use.

I felt very comfortable

you don't hear any noise from outside even though you can open the windows (which is nice). there is no carpet but a clean parquet floor great bed linen (firm and extra-white cotton) great view fromt the 12th floor over the Hochbrücke to the other side of the river

there was an indefinable metallic noise inside the house from 5am, approximately every 5 minutes. Possibly from the lift?

A bit dusty. fridge (mini bar) wasn’t working nor restock. found an empty bottle of water. (probably previous guest didn’t want to pay.)

Narrow single bed. Very meger breakfast. No milk for the cornflakes or in the coffee machine. Had to walk around to find someone. No one around the other days.

view from 12th floor room was great - friendly staff when you could get hold of them but they are trying to do too much with too few people

No air conditioning, fan was broken and needed propping up, the room was not super clean. there was a kettle but only one tea bag and one cup for two people - no attention to detail. Went to reception to get more tea bags and one receptionist was trying to manage check ins plus a whole load of people in the restaurant - resources spread too thin. The room was too noisy with the window open because of traffic below. British channels on the tv list did not work. Breakfast was very average - I had to go and find someone to serve us coffee as the room was unmanned. There were slices of sweaty looking cheese and meat on single plates individually wrapped with cling film. Not very inviting. We asked for scrambled eggs and we were told no “because of Covid“??? How is this a 4 star hotel? I have had better stays in 2 star places!
