The property itself is amazing. A building with history. The gardens are lovely. Very impressive inside. The pool is a massive bonus.
It is a little way from the town centre. An hour and 15 minute walk. If you like to be a little way out, this is prefect.

The buffet-style breakfast was wonderful, featuring fresh, delicious pastries, and we loved the opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view.
The building itself has a charming aroma, reminiscent of a museum. As for the toiletries, shampoo, shower gel, soap, and body lotion were provided, and they smelled absolutely amazing too!
There were no slippers provided, which was uncomfortable given the stone floors. Also, mosquitoes and small bugs kept flying in through the bathroom window, which doesn't have a mosquito net. There was a plug-in mosquito repellent provided, but it wasn't working. As a result, we got bitten by mosquitoes for two nights.
Keep in mind that there is a 10-15 minute walk from the main gates to the hotel itself. This wasn't an issue for us, but it might be challenging for elderly guests.
Lastly, we ordered food to our room because we returned late from an excursion, but the trash from it was never emptied, even though there is daily room cleaning. Because of this, it left an unpleasant smell in the room.
