Great location. Very helpful and attentive staff. Good (basic) breakfast. Excellent location. Free parking. Very generous of the staff to provide access pass for the local ski lift.

Construction next door started at 6:55am and clock tower next to our room rang all night.

Not recommend in summer

Location

The rooms was super hot, if we opened the windows then the roadwork was loud or the church in the night was ringing every 15 min literally until 12:30 or so and then started again at 06:00. The pillows were absolutely horrible and finally the curtains were useless, in the morning a lot of light was entering the room. So far, one of the worst experiences in Switzerland. I woke up dizzy because of the heat. I was very angry and disappointed this morning.

The staff (man that I interacted with frequently) was wonderful. I had lots of questions and he was extremely helpful.

Roomy,, clean, met our needs

The room was very clean and spacious enough for our needs, it also featured a small balcony with two chairs and a table. The hangers and shelves/cupboards to put out belongings were also an asset. We needed to hand wash a few items, which we were able to do without problem. As for the staff, the real stellar one was a waitress at dinner in the restaurant. Not sure she's an actual hotel staff member, but she was attentive and caring, one of the best we've met two weeks into our trip The self-serve breakfast fit our needs more than adequately, and a coffee machine that made decent lattes was one of its assets

The floors are laminate floors, so the guests' and cleaning staff's comings and goings can easily cause vibrations and noise. Luckily for us, guests didn't stay up too late, and we got up very early before the staff became noisy..

Short and enjoyable winter sport stay.

Rooms were compact - and extremely clean. location was perfect and parking places for guests were provided. Of exceptional note was the attention of the owner and staff for a member of our family with severe food allergies. The care and attention they showed to make eating there safe was incredibly welcome and helped us relax and enjoy the stay.

Good stay.

The location was great and quiet at night. The friendly service minded-ness of the owner. Breakfast was not bad. We liked the two top floor rooms one next to the other.

The rooms are somewhat old just as well as the furniture, wall "paper" (linoleum in the bathroom?). Duvet and pillows seem also a bit "tired".

Perfect base for mountain hikes in the area.

Location was great. Parking was easy and the room was very comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

+The staff are very friendly, both at the restaurant and at the hotel +the location is perfect, reachable by bus, then walking distance to the cable car +surroundings are nice, with a big supermarket, a sports stuff. we bought the clothes when the weather changed suddenly, the price is amazingly reasonable. +the hotel is not modern but very clean, with the 'double deck' bed for kid, which is very unexpected. +the room is big enough for 4 persons. +additionally the quilts are not only white like all other hotels, but in yellow which is more friendly and are like at home. they are really warm + good quality +friendly greetings by the owner everyday, everywhere, which you really feel that they are making all efforts to make you feel at home

-a bit noisy in the night and early morning because the church bell rings often, which became usual from the 2nd day already

Waren rundum zufrieden!

Wir konnten spontan die Ferienwohnung Schratten buchen und waren überrascht von deren Grösse und vor allem der Sauberkeit! Auch Frotteewäsche wurde grosszügig zur Verfügung gestellt und während unseres Aufenthaltes sogar geputzt. Die Betten/Matrazen fand ich persönlich top (eher hart), den Kids hat das nicht soo gepasst. Heizkörper zum selber Temperatur regulieren waren auch ein Highlight. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage ist ausserdem perfekt.

Natürlich ist niemals alles perfekt, aber ich kann hier wirklich nichts Negatives erwähnen, was relevant wäre. Tipp: Hausschuhe nicht vergessen ;-). Und da die Küche nicht mit Gewürzen etc. ausgestattet ist, diese bei Bedarf selber mitnehmen.

Kurzaufenthalt zum Skifahren als Einzelreisende

Schön, dass es noch solche Hotels noch gibt: Schlichte und behagliche Zimmer, die alles haben was man braucht und bezahlbar sind. Ohne "Wellnessklimbim". Im Doppelzimmer hat es WC, Dusche und Waschbecken. Das Hotel hat einen Lift und liegt zentral und ist im Winter trotz Lage an der Strasse ruhig. Es sind nur wenige Minuten zu Fuss zur Bergbahn, neben dem Hotel gibt es einen gut sortierten Volg Laden. Das Hotel hat reichlich Parkplätze direkt vor der Tür und einen Skikeller mit Skischuhheizung. Das vielseitige Frühstück wird als Buffet angeboten. Alles ist sehr sauber, die Betten sind bequem, der Service und Empfang ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Gasthaus gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe (Öffnungszeiten beachten).
