Completely refreshed thanks to very comfortable hotel room and a spectacular view at the lake right next to the hotel.

The hotel is at the best location right next to the lake with a spectacular view. The hotel rooms were renovated at high quality, clean, and the beds were perfect for a good night's sleep. The walls, floors, equipment and everything was well-thought-out, including the breakfast buffet. We could feel the owner family's hospitality and refined taste.

Perfect family lakeside holiday

A very welcoming and beautifully manicured hotel that had everything you need for a family lakeside holiday. The location directly across from a beach for swimming and a wonderful playground for the kids made it an easy and relaxing stay for our family. There was ample parking, no additional reservation required. Breakfast was beautiful, tasty and varied. We made use of the life vests for children and the SUP boards. There were wonderful quality restaurants with a lake view within walking distance and staff was very welcoming and helpful.

It was ok, when it actually could be fantastic.

Personal - amazing. That all are so beautiful people. So warm and welcoming. Sleeping quality - spectacular. Also I like the soap, shampoo and other stuff. Breakfast - fantastic! So tasty and local! I would come back just for it! Good that we had fridge in the room.

First - in family room layout is so strange. It's family room but you have open transparent shower on second floor. Also toilet on the 1st floor and if you need to go there at night - it's dangerous cause ladder is steep. Soft chairs/sofas on 1st floor - have 90 degree angle. Uncomfortable to sit. Also - the bed small lights located right next to your head. And it's Sharp metallic angle. I think it's just unsafe. Another thing. In our room one side of plug and light near the bed wasn't working. Owner couldn't do anything. As well it was some kind of switch on the wall. When I asked"what is it?" Owner couldn't answer. One day also was no electricity so we need to go up without elevator and they once again up by ladder in the room. One more thing - the family room in under the ceiling - so all windows are small and rooms are dark.

Amazing hospitality and perfect for families!

This hotel is amazing! The location is perfect...lots to do, beautiful accomodations with views, and excellent restaurants within walking distance. The hotel has delicious breakfast, but what really stands out is the hospitality of the staff, especially Denise. She goes out of her way to make you feel so welcome and pampered. We stayed as a family of 4 and loved being able to use the stand up paddle boards, after dinner trips to the playground that is very close by, and the cool layout of the accommodations. We are already planning our next trip!

a fantastic hotel in the perfect spot for a truly wonderful holiday

This is a really beautiful hotel with fantastic Eco credentials. It is right on the edge of Bodensee lake and perfect for access to swim in the lake and find wonderful places to eat. The hotel has a great terrace for having breakfast and a lovely area with vey comfortable sunbeds for relaxing. the hotel owner is very keen that the atmosphere is relaxed. The pretty town is a great base to look around, walk and cycle and all bus and train travel around the lake is free for those staying in accommodation. The breakfast is incredible, we have never had such amazing choice and quality anywhere we have stayed. I really recommend this place

The perfect short stay on the Bodensee

This was our last stop on a 5 week road trip and was a last minute decision partly because the weather was forecast to be wet in the Alps. A very good decision it turned out to be. It rated highly on booking.com and we were not disappointed. Beautiful, historic building. Meticulous attention to detail in retaining and enhancing the historic but cleverly adding the element of luxury. A delightful location on the lake and close to a good selection of restaurants. We absolutely loved it. Outstanding family hosts and staff. The breakfast was worth a special comment. It was undoubtedly the best we have experienced in all our past European travels, and many have been wonderful. You have to try it for yourself! Thanks so much for the perfect ending to a brilliant trip!

A very nice combination restful comfortable hotel with great location and many lake activities.

Breakfast was excellent with only a few bees to share it. The room was excellent with wooden floor and overall was amazingly quiet. There are additional facilities to enjoy such as sittings in the garden and a pingpong table. Parking is free and there is even an charging station for an EV.

Superb

This hotel is an exceptional in terms of architecture and furnishing. The service, cleanliness and breakfast were great and overall this hotel is definitely recommendable if you want to spend some calm time on the Bodensee. Very nice was that we recieved an headsup from the hotel that there is no possibility of having dinner at the hotel and they gave us some recommendations in the surrounding and even made a reservation for us.

Actually it is only the missing dinner possibility.

An amazing hotel and staff who thought of everything to make our stay unforgettable.

The staff were so very friendly and helpful, truly exceptional and looked after our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage children very well. The hotel itself is beautiful and ideally located next to the lake which you can walk to in 1 minute and the Village centre is only 3-5 mins away. Lovely gardens and the breakfasts were amazing , such a high quality and wide choice of food , the best we’ve ever seen. They also have many Paddle Boards which are free for hotel guests to use plus they provided free ‘Bodenese’ cards which allowed free use of local bus & trains to easily see more of Lake Constance , plus free entry to the local Lido (Strandbad).

It‘s a very beautiful and historical building with a really nice bio concept hotel. The hotel is right next to the lake and all attractions can be reached within couple minutes walk. The staff is really helpful and the breakfast and the bed are all nice. In general we enjoy our stay there and will definitely want to visit again.

Perfection at Lake Constance

Perfect stay! An amazing historic building which has been sensitively restored, right across from the lake front. Quiet, but 5 min walk to centre of town. Staff could not have been more helpful! Also the most gourmet breakfast I have had!

The place is great and the house is simply fantastic : everything has been reshaped and designed with organic material and with pur style. You feel immediatly comfortable and restful. Bedding is premium and the view on the lake is great if you have the pleasure to be in the suite. Weaking up with the lake view is just amazing. Breakfast is an unforgettable experience both for eyes and for taste. Thank you very much to the hosting family for their availability and kindness.

Breakfast was truly wonderful. It was amazing. So much choice and the staff are lovely! The location is great, really quiet, a little away from the town so very peaceful, but near enough only 5 minutes walk. The spa bath was amazing! The bed was really comfy. The place is totally brand spanking new. Totally wonderful hotel. Would love to go back!
