The property looks nice in general and the breakfast is good

The property was not very clean, our room had hair from previous guests and shocks and the bathtub was disgusting, but the worst part of the trip was eating a burger at the pool restaurant and getting food poisoning. I would expect a property that I pay 30 euros per burger and it’s a 5 star hotel would be more careful with food quality.

I wouldn’t stay there again. The facilities and services do not correspond to 5 star hotel.

The location was ok, it’s at the end of Corniche near the port, so there is no sandy beach or restaurants exactly opposite the hotel. From outside the building is beautiful, there are 2 pools.

The room appeared to be clean on the surface but it was really dusty and not very clean. The room has a smell of dust and non ventilated room, probably because of the carpet in the room. Every time you turn on the bed, a cloud of dust appears. The firs night the bed has a mattress topper which made the bed uneven - it was overflown in the middle and we were almost falling on the sides. Then we asked and they removed it. The breakfast was ok. They have a weird policy about their glasses. They have 2 pools but only one pool has a bar and you are not allowed to take your drink to the other pool.

A very comfortable hotel

A really nice hotel. Very comfortable. Soundproofing was excellent. Great variety at breakfast. The small pool while not as nice gets sun. Spar shop is on site which is convenient. A good location with easy access to everything. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

At breakfast it’s missing fresh coffee. They only had a machine. 2 pools… The large one doesn’t get sun in winter. Too cold to sit out in late Jan.

Me & my wife were this morning at this hotel breakfast buffet We've been MORE than one hour NOBODY cleared our table from dirty dishes I have NOT seen a single waiter or waitress Dirty dishes keep piling up, but NOBODY cleared the table We've been in many 5 stars hotels worldwide. In each hotel we saw waiters or waitresses in hotel uniform with badge on their shirt or jacket with name who cleared non stop our table and other table. My wife got upset and left the table back to our room. ONLY AFTER one hour I asked a person in breakfast restaurant that looked like a guest if he works for SOFITEL. He said yes So I asked him to clear the table from dirty dishes. This is NOT the behavior of 5 stars hotel. This hotel MUST put 3-4 waiters or waitresses during morning breakfast to clear dirty dishes from tables. NOT happy about this hotel.

The room was not very clean, the mirror near the entrance was filthy, we thought they’d clean it next day, but they didn’t and we had to call and ask for it to be cleaned. Overall cleanliness of the room and especially shower was more like at three star hotel.

Room was comfortable and location was good.

Breakfast was really below par and inconsistent each day. Not enough staff to clean the tables so you eat at nasty tables with incomplete setting (napkin or glass or silverware missing). Thai restaurant was probably the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been, no sticky rice, very poor service, tasteless soup. In the room, lights were very weird and wired on different switches that would cancel each other. We had to literally try 3 different combinations to make the hall light turn on. Worst came at check out. The lady who checked us out barely talked to me in a very low voice. Never asked me how my stay was or if I needed anything. I asked about storing my luggage and instead of calling the bell boys she just pointed out the desk to bring everything there.

Room was just minimum OK level for a 5-star and for the price The car valet was efficient and helpful

seats / tables in 2 restaurants (breakfast area and pool) are dirty soiled and too old to be in a 5-star hotel Requests for hard pillows was not fulfilled 1 bathrobe for 2 people half liter of filtered drinking water per person especially when you notice it at night when you need to take your medicine although requested a non-smoking room the only available was a smoking - I had to wait although I previously indicated my arrival time which is within hotel check-in policy

Staff service wasn't great, quite inflexible reception that never smiled. Despite communication and acknowledgement of early arrival, the hotel did nothing to assist. The check in experience was extremely poor.. They could not even offer a room for me to change, I eventually did this in a space that was under construction.

Bed was uncomfortable and "used" in a sense that the left and right sides were uneven Waited 30mn at the pool trying to grab the waitress 'attention' , i ended up calling the reception from my mobile phone. Not even an apology! we ordered drinks and food. Drinks came quickly . Cheese platter took 35 minutes! in the room it went from bad to worse. Phone did not work so we were unable to use the room service. The bathtub did not get any hot water. After they sent technicians (had to go down as the room phone would not work) They were unable to fix the phone. Bath tub's water eventually got got. The rubber seals from the shower are yellow from old age and half broken to water leaks out. In the brekfast area the water fountain are not working and the area looks like a wasteland that no one bothered to fix. Sun beds are tired fulkl of ciragettes holes As an apology they gave us a whatsapp number so we could still use room service. Except no one dared to even answer! Sofitel 5 stars? I would not even give it a 3 stars! They offered massages to make it up to us but honestly i ended up more stressed after leaving this hotel than before

Very bad and not recommended

I stayed in the imperial suit. The bathroom did not have shataf, SHOWER GEL, Not only that, no hot water in the shower. The light in the kitchen wasn’t working,the lights sensors were acting crazy on and off, no tissue boxes except one in the room. The room wasn’t cleaned properly as well since we kept finding stuff and left overs from the previous guest. When we checked out and informed the stuff about our experience, she said ‘Sorry we hope it doesn’t happen again in your next visit ’ which meant that they don’t care at all in my opinion. the valet is not managed properly.. they almost lost our car keys and it took us 30 mins to get.

Visiting the beauties of Abu Dhabi

Hotel is on the Corniche and immediately in the neighborhood you have all one could need, cafes, restaurants, laundry, tailors, barbers, shops, etc …. Nice spacious rooms though.

The rooftop bar needs urgently a revamp as it is outdated, and not really a cozy and welcoming place. Also as picture attached the food people put out their doors should be removen and not left there until the very next day 😞 Pool area rather small and kids running around and screaming does not make it a cozy place to relax and have a bite or drink.

I liked the location of the property .. the facilities were good.. loved the fact that they a supermarket which made things easy

I did not like the fact that there were a few rooms with no water hose in the toilets and we were not informed regarding that .. which made us change our room after checking in. Additionally, the cups and glasses were not the cleanest and did not motivate us to use it during our stay. We also mentioned that it was our honeymoon but that was not taken into consideration.

I booked two rooms for my family (my wife, my son, my friend, and myself), yet the hotel insisted that the booking only included breakfast for one person per room. They then charged us extra for additional breakfasts. This policy makes absolutely no sense. It is unreasonable to assume that in a booking for multiple guests, only one person per room is entitled to breakfast. Does the hotel expect one person to eat while the other just watches? As a frequent traveler, this is the first time I have ever experienced such a practice. What made the situation worse is that the hotel staff showed no initiative to resolve the issue or to care for guests — they simply insisted on the charges without considering fairness or common sense. This left us with a very negative impression of the property. Travelers should be warned that this hotel prioritizes rigid policies over guest experience. Because of this, I would not recommend staying here, and I hope the management reviews this unreasonable practice.

I had an awesome experience at Sofitel Corniche.

The location is close to all major malls, and office areas making movements in between very easy. It's close proximity to the sea provides breathtaking views and the bank is just around the corner.

All hot water kettles need to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned. They are stained with limescale which makes taking that cup of coffee or tea very unpleasant.

A random member of staff simply unlocked our room and walked in while we were in there which was incredibly uncomfortable and inappropriate. Im a hijabi woman and an action like that made me very very uncomfortable

It started so well but ....

Our intial interactions were amazing from booking to arrival and then being given a complimentary room upgrade and really lovely service at check in. Great location

When we got to our room it became clear it had not been cleaned properly as there was still rubbish in the bin fro previous guests, we had to ask on our 2nd day for housekeeping to come and take dirty cups, empty the bin and provide more water, very disaapointing after such a great start
