Nice and cosy

We just stayed one night, less than 12 hrs. It was a last-minute booking. We arrived late and could get the key ourselves as arranged by reception. Everything worked well. The apartment is standard but clean and comfortable. Nice view. Nice kitchenette. Great value for money.

The views from the balcony at the end of the corridor were outstanding.

No view from the bedroom we stayed in. Bed was hard. Disappointed the inn opposite was closed on the day we were there - had to drive back down to the town for somewhere to eat.

A wonderful guesthouse in the mountains

The room was spotlessly clean. The owner was very friendly, messaged us with and important information so that we don't stay hungry in the evening. The surrouding mountains and nature are simply stunning. A great stay for people who need a little peace and quiet.

Good for the price

Fair price. There was a nice garden right outside. We needed a room/roof before starting our hiking since it was raining and it was clean and comfortable.

Not about the hotel, but there was no food offer around the hotel (apparently there is a nice restaurant right in front which was closed on the day of our stay). So we needed to walk down for 20 minutes to take a bus to Matrei, and then again the same back, since we did not have a car. Maybe it would be good for them to offer some coffee or vending machine with coffee, or fresh bread and snacks/fruits to buy. Something simple but it can save their passengers, especially when there is bad weather.

perfect stay at the national park

the staff was extremely kind, they provided a list of local products for all guests to be delivered in the next morning. Even if they didn’t speak fluent english, the smiles and kindness delivered all the information we needed. Breakfast was tasty. The room was crystal clean. The village is in a special strategic position for outdoor activities and lots of trails.

Great breakfast and excellent service with a personal touch. Very friendly hosts. Booked room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Approaching road is quite steep and not in the best condition but that is not host's fault by any means.

Lovely!

I stayed there with friends. We chose this place to stay close to the eispark. I can imagine it could be difficult to reach if there is a lot of snow, but we were lucky this time as the road was clear. It wasn't necessary to go to Matrei for dinner as there is a restaurant that is just a few meters from the hotel. The food was also great there. We ordered breakfast and it was also very good. Unfortunately, they didn't have gluten-free bread. I must say, the staff was extremely friendly, the facilities super clean and the beds very comfy. I would definitely come again.

The door to the bathroom is semi-transparent so there is not much privacy. :P

Very friendly owners, waiting for us even after check in time. The apartment is big and well furnished. Also te balcony was very spacious.

I would prefer the mountain view instead of the street view but booking the last days in top season I know it is not possible :)

It was possible to park the motorcycle in the garage at no extra charge. Quiet surroundings. 50 meters away restaurant. Great view from the window. Private parking at the hotel. capsule coffee machine.

A very, very poor (actually collapsed) road is unavoidable from the pits from Matrei to the hotel. (about 4 km) No air conditioning. Lots of flies. The windows do not have mosquito nets. Next door is a farm with an open manure storage, an intolerable odor. There were no dish care products in the kitchen. In the shower cabin small space to store detergents. No shops nearby, the nearest shop is Matrei (about 4 km) .

Comfortable stay with great views!

Very clean hotel and friendly staff. Big rooms with a kitchen and comfortable bathroom. The beds are great. Our balcony oversaw the valley which allowed for amazing views in the morning.

Superb

Our rooms was of a great quality. Very clean, tidy and with an absolutely excellent view! Probably one of the best views we ever had from the hotel. More mornings like there are needed! The whole village is like a small alpine paradise.

No common room area or a place to cook or prepare your own food. English of the staff was quite poor.

The best option for a weekend mountain getaway

It is an unreally beautiful and calm place. The host is a wonderful, very friendly woman, even though we did not speak German and she did not speak English, we had no problems during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the fully equipped kitchen was great.

The only thing we missed was a dishwashing liquid (we came on Saturday night and all the shops were closed on Sunday).

Location is a bit far from center, and the road is a bit bumpy and narrow. drive carefully. Would be nice if the kitchen pan would be replaced to non stick ceramic. very annoying to wash them haha..
