Hotel Gran Trun

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The management are DISHONEST and they overcharged us by 605 EUROS!! We had booked another of the groups hotels, Gran Trun through Booking.com. When we arrived they told us that they had a problem with the room and they were going to give us a free upgrade to their superior Hotel La Torre. On arrival at La Torre we were asked to pay 1,226 Euros, which was the agreed charge for the room at Gran Trun. It was only after we paid that we looked up La Torre up on Booking.com to find that for the same room and same nights, the price was only 621 Euros! We had been overcharged by 605 Euros!! We spoke to the management about this numerous times and they refused to do anything about it. Be warned, these people are CROOKS!!!!

We absolutely loved this Hotel. It’s beautiful restored and very simply decorated . The lady who owns it was fantastic and made us very welcome . I would highly recommend it and we will be staying there again.

It’s not as close to the chair lift as we would have liked

I really loved how friendly and accommodating Sarah was. Also it is a very cozy hotel in a beautiful ski village. I would highly reccoment this place to others.

This hotel was perfect for our short ski trip, with a nice continental breakfast to start the day with lovely coffee (thanks Sarah). The location is perfect just far enough away from the main square.

Rooms were a little in the warm side

This gorgeous property is located in the beautiful town, we found it the perfect distance of being a little further away from the ‘noisy apres’ but close enough to all of the restaurants, bars, shops, bus stops etc. Free parking was close by and we liked the mixture of being able to take a short walk to Clotes lift (which was slightly uphill) or a short (slightly downhill) walk to the bus stop that took us to the Sportina lift. Sarah’s warmth and willingness to make our stay so special was what really made it for us, nothing was too much trouble and her attention to detail was great. She remembered our coffee order each morning (a small detail that made a real impact on us). The continental breakfast was just right to get you started for a day on the slopes whilst not being too much so you can still enjoy all of the local specialities throughout the day. The boot room was very handy and even had heated boot holders. Thank you Sarah and team for a wonderful birthday stay, we will definitely be back!

There was nothing we disliked about the property, we just wish we stayed another night!

the host Sarah was amazing - never seen someone work as hard for her guests, and look after everyone. What a find ! Breakfast was amazing each day. Beds v comfy. Wifi good for me work. Evening bar v friendly !
