Arma Museum & Resort

Unbelievable museum setting in the most beautiful gardens with a river running through the property. High-end accommodation at affordable rates, most comfortable sleep I had in all of Bali!

Nothing it was perfect!

Everything was fantastic. Friendly staff, amazing spacious villa set in beautiful grounds, good breakfast and added bonus of free admission to the museum and tickets to the evening cultural performance.

Only issue was the amount of mosquitoes. We got bitten a lot during our stay at the hotel, but we consider this understandable due to the surrounding rice paddies and ponds. Mosquito nets were provided so our nights were comfortable.

Arma is a beautiful traditional resort set in lovely gardens. We stayed in a quiet and peaceful villa overlooking rice fields. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The Arma Museum is outstanding with a wonderful collection of modern and traditional art. Arma is dedicated to preserving the Balinese arts —— including dance and music. The cultural performances in the evening are great. It’s not a 5 star resort but its charm is in the peaceful setting, beautiful gardens and traditional buildings. It’s an Oasis in Ubud which is now so busy and congested.

This was our second stay and we enjoyed it so much.

Arma Museam and Park

Room was not clean upon arrival, dirty towels and the rooms are clearly outdated and in need of renovation. The hotel promotes sustainability and environmental awareness, but having to run the shower for five minutes before getting warm water contradicts that message. Water pressure was also weak. Arma and his family are kind and welcoming people, which we appreciated. However, some of the staff — not all — provided service that was far below what I would expect from Arma’s standards. Overall, the hotel rooms urgently need an upgrade. Apart from the Arma Museum, I do not understand how this property maintains such a high rating.
