Ari Cottages Ubud

The room was beautifully designed. Free breakfast had a lot of choices. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is decent, there is a supermarket across the road. There are restaurants within walking distance, even for budget travellers. The massage included was as advertised.

Yes, there is some construction noise near the hotel but it didn't bother us too much. They provided earplugs but we never really needed it. Breakfast could have had some more local dishes. The bathroom design was interesting, but having to step on rocks to enter wasn't ideal.

Everything. Our teenagers shared a superior room which was a luxurious hotel standard room, while my husband and I had one of the gorgeous Balinese villas. Everything about the rooms and surrounds was stunning. The staff provided excellent service and were really helpful organising drivers, massages, free shuttle to a recommended restaurant and for our laundry to be done. Very impressed and would stay again.

We had a disappointing experience here. The one thing we did appreciate was the breakfast which is nice and delivered to your room.

We had a disappointing experience here. We had booked 2 villas and were told when we arrived that they both had leaks. We were offered rooms in the building in front of the hotel. We had to ask for compensation and were offered a massage. The rooms in the building in front are very standard and lack charm and the towels need replacing. They give onto an unappealing pool that did not look like it had been cleaned in a while. The noise from the road is terrible and goes on all night. Overall. the rooms are expensive, and I believe there are more genuine and charming places to stay in Ubud.

The staff are kind and welcoming. It's a small place, just off the road, but it's peaceful and beautiful. Our room was perfect and we enjoyed our time there. Ari Cottages is in and excellent location for the shops and restaurants and for us, having the Yoga Barn a short walk away was great. We loved our stay here. Thank you

First room on the ground floor smelled like mold ( major issue in ubud) I had this problem in 3 out of 5 hotels… But it doesn’t justify the fact that as a hotel, you have to do something about it. It is not SAFE to breath in fungus and it is very harmful for health… After 2 nights they were able to change the room on a higher floor and that room was OK. I guess more sun prevent from mold and don’t have any other explanation

If you are having walking problems ask for a ground level room as steps are quite steep

Breakfast was ok, good water dispenser for drinking in the room, staff did their best to make you feel welcome and nothing was a problem

Bathroom had a small leak somewhere near toilet wash hose, best rooms are at the front which aren't as authentic but much quieter. Afternoon tea very underwhelming and some of the cooked breakfast a bit cold

Lovely traditional wooden cottages close to shops and restaurants with smiling staff.

1. The Balinese green environment is delightful. 2. Quiet but convenient location.

1. wifi couldn't be connected in the room. 2. The portion of the breakfast is small 3. Should be more aware of the guests request for breakfast. 4. The guests should be informed in the beginning that they need to request for breakfast every day. 5. The pool is too small for swimming. It's just like a decoration. 6. The staff could be more helpful to help carry the luggage. 7. The floor of the bathroom is very slippery, not because it is wet, but the material itself. It's dangerous .

Lovely Balinese cottage style accommodation. Comfortable bed. Pretty veranda. Good shower.

The construction work going on all day every day. The noise was terrible, started at 8am.

The staff were very welcoming and hospitable. There was a tank of filtered water in our room which was very welcome. The daily breakfast and coffee were great, and there was complimentary tea and snacks every afternoon. The pool was clean and very cooling. On the last day the neighbour’s cat came to visit us too.

There were some stains on the pillow and bedsheets that weren’t changed.

Very good location, friendly staff and quiet despite near the main road. Everything is just walk away. 1 tub of water to refill in within room.

There were some ants considering on the fact that we are pretty deep in nature. Traffic jam if take grabcar/bluebird. Recommend to walk or grabbike if possible.

Great location with easy access to restaurants and supermarkets. Clean and well mentained. Lovely breakfast. We didn’t get to enjoy all facilities as we were mostly out visiting surroundings, but we had a very pleasant stay.

Maybe a bit far from centre of Ubud (like 20 min walk) but we appreciated the quietness.

The rooms are clean and modern, and the grounds are beautiful and well-kept. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and we felt very much at home! The location is great - there's a Peptito grocery store across from the hotel, and there are ATMs and restaurants close by. I would definitely stay there again!

There was a mistake with the listing - we booked a room with 3 beds, which doesn't exist. Instead we got a regular room with one big bed, which the check-in staff helped us organize into two smaller beds.

Quiet, comfortable and clean

Fantastic rooms and cottages near the center of Ubud. From the moment we got there we loved everything about it: the large bungalows with the amazing patio and pool view, the pristine plants and flowers of the garden, the lovely staff that helped us far and beyond. It's the perfect place to relax, recharge, have a swim and a fantastic breakfast made to order and delivered every morning to your door to be enjoyed while listening to the wild birds of the garden and the view of a beautiful pool right in front of you. Would recommend and would go back any time! One of the best if not the absolute best of our trip to Bali.

The cottages and the staff were amazing. Only minor note was ongoing construction at the back of the cottages with builders that were making noise at times and could look into the property when working there. Perhaps double check works are no longer there with reception before booking. Other than that do book in Ari Cottages and you won't regret it!

This is such a beautiful place, I couldn’t have asked for more. The Joglo hut was gorgeous and bigger than I expected, the pool and garden were lovely, and the staff were kind. Breakfast on the balcony is also great!

There is a bit of noise from the properties surrounding, but nothing that bothered me. They also provide earplugs in the room.

Private, quiet and relaxing! Felt like we had our own villa and the staff were lovely. Photos are exactly what to expect!

The shower was outside which we weren’t expecting. It didn’t rain while we stayed here so it was actually really nice showering outside/ under the stars. However, it might of been an interesting experience if it had rained.

Well located. Ubud centre is walking distance. Just beside the beautiful Amra museum which offers dance performances too.

Traditional lovely cottage, beautiful pool, friendly staff and we love the big bottle of filter water in the room, we could reuse our water bottles, brush teeth etc… really great. Loved our stay with Ari cottages, highly recommend.

We are two korean women. Ari Cottage Ubud has many good things. These are Nice location, cozy atmosphere and warm-hearterd staffs! But one bad thing was an electic kettle pot looked to be cleaned. Except for this, this hotel was so cool and gave us comfortable staying experience in Ubud. : )

This was the second time I stayed there. This time I chose the room instead of the cottage. Both are nice options but I liked the room better. Especially I found the WiFi to be better in the rooms, yet not ideal but sufficient enough. The room had every facility necessary, a few delights were a nice touch. I would definitely come back even more. I have to mention the location as well. It's not central Ubud but a few mins away by motorbike, yet it's an easy getaway without traffic. Also, the large supermarket is right across the street.

The private villa, was beautiful and clean. I loved my bed with mosquito net. There was a fridge, desk, nice open shower, big terras and refreshing pool. The breakfast had many options with fresh juice and tea or coffe, the afternoon tea was also complimentary. I almost had the pool for myself and everything was very clean and friendly staff. There is a international supermarket across the street and 24/7 warong next to it. I definitely will come back.

When there is a neighbour in the villa's you have less privacy, because the balconies face each other.

Perfect location, within walking distance of restaurants, museums, and attractions but also felt calm and quiet and out of the busyness! Also the cabins were beautiful and the beds comfy.

We had a gecko wake us up the first night and we had no idea what it was so we’re freaked out but as soon as we worked it out it was all good (and they are lucky!) - wear the earplugs provided!

Before the trip, I extensively researched hotels and their reviews, fearing a gap between expectation and reality. However, this hotel exceeded my expectations and won my heart! - Excellent service: The staff was incredibly friendly and polite. - Cleanliness is impeccable with daily cleaning, towel changes, and an evening bed service. Additionally, they go the extra mile by adjusting the evening lighting in the room and turning on mosquito repellent. - Convenient location: Centrally located in Ubud, near a supermarket and restaurants, yet away from the road. Easy access for walking or calling a taxi. - Daily evening tea with dessert. - Two clean swimming pools with comfortable water. - Good water pressure and consistently hot water in the shower. - The room is equipped with everything you need (air conditioning, hairdryer, refrigerator, kettle, tea, bathroom amenities, earplugs, etc.). - A large water cooler in the room - it’s so convenient that it’s hard not to appreciate it! - No insects or unpleasant odors. We stayed in Superior Double Room number 4 on the second floor for 12 nights. This building has only four rooms closer to the road (two rooms on the first floor and two on the second), opposite its own swimming pool. A little further from the road, there are four separate villas and a second swimming pool. During our stay, the entire building was empty, and we enjoyed the silence and beautiful views from the second floor.

Absolutely nothing in the hotel. The only downside is that there may be slight noise from the neighboring hotel; there is live music on weekend evenings, but only until 23:00. The road noise was not strong and did not bother us in any way.

Overall it’s worth staying for leisure. The location is great and I love the greenery in the hotel. The swimming pool is 24 hours but off light at night. The staff is always nice and ready to respond to our requests. You can ask for laundry (wash and dry) with cheap price.

The door to the washroom cannot be fully closed and unavoidably bugs fly into the bedroom. But it is not a big deal because gecko can help eat them, and the hotel prepare anti-mosquito spray in the bedroom. If you are afraid of geckos, then better book the modern type of room.
