Clean and comfortable however disappointed and wouldn’t be back. A lot of money for not what we asked for.
Nice modern room, big comfortable bed and well presented. Big walk in shower and separate bath was nice. Easy to control heating.
Paid extra to have superior room to make sure we had big Tv and coffee machine as we were staying 2x nights however we didn’t get either and room was not what was shown on picture online. Was woken up at 9am both days (Saturday and Sunday) by cleaning staff shouting and laughing and banging outside the bedroom door on the corridor. Also cleaners entered our room while we were out for the day and changed the room even though we never asked for that and there was a specific sign in the room that you could put on the door to ask for it we didn’t want it. Also stated in booking we would have a courtyard view however we were on the road side which was rather noisy due to single pain window which when we wanted it to also wouldn’t stay open at all. Booked a table for dinner on Saturday night we went down and restaurant was far to hot and no windows available to open, service took for ever to be able to get drinks and we were never asked if our meal was okay half way through and it wasn’t, my partners steak was very undercooked and we couldn’t get a waiters attention at all. When we went up to bar to pay the bill 5 staff members where stood round polishing glasses and kept glancing at us but took 10 minutes for anyone to assist us. We would have liked to sit and drink due to staying at the lodge however service was just to poor.

Breakfast was exceptional and the service was brilliant. The portions were generous and the quality of the food was locally sourced.
The Room 3 was above the front door so we did hear peoples conversations as they left. Once the bar had closed it was queiter.

If you want a quiet country pub, this isn’t the place for you, check for sporting events.
Place was clean, facilities as you would expect for price of room. Nice commercial areas but over run by local sports fans - which was noted in the welcome book. Wouldn’t have booked if we had known.
Lots of noise in corridor late at night/early hours, not managed. People using fire exit in dining room as exit which was next to diners, draughty and a nuisance. On arrival the place was rammed with a sporting event on the big screen, there was no room to sit down or have a drink. It was like a Wetherspoons!
