Wonderful winter fairy tale in the diamond of the alps

We spent an unforgettable week with incredible weather, blue skies, sunshine all day, enough snow, no crowds on the slopes in a very beautiful hotel within three minutes walk to the two main cable cars Hohe Mut and Roßkarbahn. The hotel is very stylish, has soundproof rooms, very good breakfast with my favourite kitchenware: You can create your own fresh-squeezed apple-carrot-ginger drink. The staff was exceptionally nice and the food was excellent. The "Kräuterbadl" is a healthy 60° sauna with 90% humidity with very nice tiles that show the herbs in beautiful pictures and Latin language. If you prefer a traditional Finnish sauna you have this option as well.

Nothing to complain about. In the future a charging station for electric cars would be nice. However, we learned from previous experience that it is good to have your car charged before you drive to the top of the mountains.

From the very beginning, everything wrong. The elevator was not working. Arrogant attitude of the owner. We were in this hotel for the first time. We went for the first dinner, accidentally entered the Restaurant through the staff entrance.We shouldn't have done that. The owner, with an angry expression on her face, said that this is the entrance for the personnel, let us turn around and go through the entrance to the restaurant. I just smiled, I understand, she must have been tired. After all, we are on vacation. She had to go and show us our table in that, we had been there several times. The lady owner threw away the towel, mumbled something under her breath and went to show us the table where we had dinner. That was the beginning of our vacation at Hotel Wiesental. Well, by the second evening it was getting worse. We should have dressed nicely because it was the Gala evening. He was a GALA. We arrived on time at 6:30pm and got our first meal after a 45 minute wait. And we had no idea what would follow. The husband ate half of the appetizer and found a 2.5 cm tin foil. I was scared that he ate something. The husband called the waiter to whom he told and showed what was in the food. The waiter said that it happens, he will tell in the kitchen. So the second waitress brought us soup as if nothing had happened. So the husband asked how it was solved, she didn't know anything about it. So her husband told her that he had foil in the appetizer. He told the waiter that he would tell the kitchen and nothing would happen. The waitress didn't know anything, she was terrified to tell the owner. After 20 minutes they brought us the main course, no one came to apologize NOTHING. So we left because my throat was tight and I couldn't eat anything. NOTHING HAPPENED EVEN AFTER THE FOLLOWING BREAKFAST. NOTHING HAPPENED... HUSBAND COULD HAVE APPENDICITIS...THAT'S JUST HEALTH, HEALTH.

Excellent hotel in a good location, very friendly staff

Excellent hotel in a great location close to Hohe Mut Bahn and Rosskarbahn lifts. Ski rental shop directly opposite which offers a discount to hotel guests. Room was nice a large and the bed very comfortable, it was also really nice to have a balcony to watch the sun go down over the mountains. Bathrooms were also of a good size and equiped with a bath, excellent water pressure and always plenty of hot water. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, presented very well and always very tasty. We'd definitely stay here again if we came back to Obergurgl

It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room and some tea / coffee etc

The staff is very kind and friendly. He helped us to park our car, and his daughter who was helping to serve the dinner, taught us some German words. The dinner was very delicious, much more than we expected and the atmosphere was very nice. The room is also perfect and the bath room with bathtub is big and comfortable.

Nice, specious rooms with balconies. Really delicious food and a good selection of wines. The staff very kind and helpful. Brilliant location.

The spa facilities full of, having a great fun, children - really loud! So not possible to relax or use jacuzzi at all. There should be some hours set for adults only so both groups could enjoy it! Steam room out of order the whole week without any explanation!

Die Zimmer sind wunderschön, die Lage ist top.

Das Personal - unorganisiert und unfreundlich. Mussten Ewigkeiten auf den richtigen Tisch warten, obwohl ALLES frei war. Man fühlt sich hier als wäre man eine Last und nicht willkommen. Wurden angeschnautzt weil ich um 7:55 auschecken möchte am Abreisetag (vor 8 Uhr wäre das ja unmenschlich ;)! Der einzige, der kundenorientiert ist, ist der Inhaber. Das Essen ist auch wirklich unterdurchschnittlich mies. Nicht empfehlenswert und werden mit Sicherheit nicht noch einmal hierher kommen.
